Can monsters be animated? Like battle chara can do all these nice animations but mosters just stay still!?! am I right???

(I havent downlaoded 2003 yet! LOL)

No, it takes coding... and lots of it I'm afraid.
Makign them move really is a tricky thing. Just like making the bakcground move.

Yeah, he's right. I'm pretty sure you have to make a custom battle system, as I've never heard any other way to do it. Also, making the background move isn't tricky at all. There's a built-in setting that a lot of people don't notice that allows you to do it. You can use frames for the background and foreground and set one to scroll. It's handy for clouds and vehicles.
