Let's see, what have I played?

Firstly, I played Runescape, WAY BACK when it was still 2D. It was alright, I suppose. I liked it back then, but now, the battles and everything just seem dull. Just a ton of grinding. Oh, and spellcasting in Runescape was really damned complicated and hard to do, since you could never find the correct freaking runes to cast your spells with.

Then I played Dark Age of Camelot. Seemed this one involved lots of grinding as well. I mean, people praised this as a really damn good MMO, but I don't really quite see what's so great about it. I mean, you've got a ton of classes to play in different factions, but I guess it was too complex for me to really get into the hang of. Lots of different currency types, tons of commands that confused me, and a ton of items that I just couldn't afford. Dungeons in the game also seemed a bit annoying. Spellcasting in this game baffled me as well.

So then I moved onto City of Heroes/Villains. Welp, that solves my complexity problem: Though there are items in the game that you get from fighting enemies, they are all only used to make enhancements, which are attached to your innate powers to make them better. However, you can get by just fine by buying them at the store. The game does have a lot of grinding and trading, though it seems to do the grinding part pretty well. You can also fly/jump really high/run really fast/teleport to get around, which is really convenient. The best part about this game, though, is that you can really just make whatever kind of character you want in it. Want to make a shirtless man with a scar over his eye who carries a big *** gun? You can do that. How 'bout a fat man who can turn to stone? That too. A girl in a little fancy dress that can control minds? Doable. Robot with flamethrower arms? Yep. Chisoku? Hell yes. In fact, that's where he comes from. Generally, it's very easy to learn this game and get straight into it.

Im currently playing WoW like many others, Ive had my periods of taking looong breaks and then I switched account and class totally once, Its hard to say whats fun or good about it.

The other big online experience ive had tho, Tabula Rasa, was IMO just amazing. It had a strikingly funny new gameplay, more feeling in the NPCs and war zones. Also, a really big part is that the GMs actually CARE about stuff, the population of players is awesome and its really enjoyable, has alot of elements the generic "lol imma grind" MMO nowadays dont have.

GUILD WARS!

The pvp kept me coming back. Also, they make two new job classes every year and are continously creating new armor and weapon skins (a skin is how something looks... guildwars lingo)

The ability to make a build, change how you look to make yourself unique, and fight other people makes the game well worth playing. The story mode anit bad either.

I've had long, long discussions with a friend about the perfect rpg we would make. It'd be a fusion of Sci fi and magic to cater to both our tastes (He's a spaceship man).

I have a billion ideas so we should talk about it on msn.

Having to earn coins et cetera in order to customize your character's appearance = bullshit. I hate that. I'm not gonna run around as some uglyass noob-looking thing until I earn 941940173452 points for a decent hat or something. That turns me off. Then again, I'm a girl. These things matter to me.

That's why you choose to be a tailor...
I remember making tuxedos for everyone in the guild(WoW)... Most of us had ordinary items back then so I thought we could at least look decent on our guild meetings and when we took screenshots after the bosses.
I got quite the hefty bill 'cuz of all the silk but it was worth it back then.

Different kind of armours/weapons with diffrent kinds of appearance and models, that's what you'd want. Not just recolours throughout the entire game.

Well Ive got a decent outline created, and Im trying to recruit programmers.
Im intentionally withholding on the details until a later point. I appreciate all of your input, and Ill keep on posting as to the progress if this gets anywhere. For now Im just trying to assemble a team.

Working title.

It sounds to Me like Character Customization, And A thick Class Diversity Are pretty high on the list for most of you.

Can someone give me a overview on Guild Wars? What's special about it? Is it PVP all the time? Are the guilds all enemies and stuff? What's up with it?

I need a subjective opinion, not a objective one.  When one speaks subjectively about something he likes, he'll bring up the best of it.
