I can give you some from the chiset I made for RockJohnAxe, its EArthbound though, but I made my own autotiles for it that weren't in the game. Let me know

Wow, I have no idea how I didn't notice this before. Looks really cool! Unfortunately I have a lot going on and I suck when it comes to this sort of thing, otherwise I'd help. I'm interested in it, though. :)

Well, now that i know that people are still hooked, i would like to state that i think this is just going to keep on getting quicker, assuming i have the assistance of Rayonius and i remember to do my weekend homework when everyones sleeping. I think i'm going to romp through the lonewolf sets since i can rip fast enough for them now. By the way, in case you didn't know:

A. this project no longer needs assistant rippers besides people with decent knowledge of the sprite system for Game Maker.
B. The new name of this project is BloxGen and it has been that for awhile.
C. I'm somewhere into Meiscools chips, and i think i've done most of the RTP that matters at least (not ripping the ship chip so ya know)

Also, function by popular (one person) demand: Canvas items non deleteable! If there is only one item left, you cant screw up and delete it by accident.

And:

Sounds: GM is screwey with some things, i wont stand here and lie about it. So i've added noise confirmations to every action duplication, deletion, failed deletion, locking item, unlocking item. Its all from the RM2K3 RTP so its nothing you haven't heard before and it shouldn't get TOO annoying.

I did a minor bugfix, but i dont know if i released the version that even had the bug XD. anyway, what it basically did was whenever you copied an item it showed the copied item of the same sprite (unlike demo 1), but it didn't keep the position in the sprite scroll, making the whole system pointless and annoying. not anymore.

Its possible i may be able to think up a technology that allows you to go to a seperate empty screen thats missing the item canvas (making you able to make sheets without having to strip them off the BloxGen interface) , but i'm not sure yet. Its a bit to complex for someone with my Game Maker skills (I.E. that of someone who just a few weeks ago discovered all of the import features)

I will still add features if they are demanded by some people, and i'm gonig to be adding some items that were formally large sprites turned item sized that will be credited to me and the original owner of the sheet, some recolor stuff, all sorts of neat extras that can be found ONLY in BloxGen. If you'd like to sneak me some content that can't be found anywhere else (or sneak me any content at alll, BloxGen or otherwise, or just plain talk to me) I can be reached, once more, on MSN under the contact email thebigvs@hush.com.

Anyone here know Game Maker enough to help me rip things up? theres a lot to be done you know.

Sorry to double post but it needed a bump and so i'm bumping it. This project is going fairly well right now, but i need some assistant rippers or i will one day fall over dead for no apparent reason. I dont like doing stuff for this project reguardless of my utter need to press on. I will continue, i do need assistant rippers, and i'm releasing THE OFFICIAL VERSION 1 tommorrow.

Agreed. I basically just ran to the assumption everyone forgot about it, but you proved me otherwse. The rippng is still as dull as it was, with or without the fast track methods, and i haven't had much help, so if i were to release it now i wouldn't have any terrain present and you couldn't even assemble one true chip set. to throw something additional into the mix, i've been doing some stupid stuff outside of this with Gigas Force, and i've finally been learning how to actually check my Myspace page frequently, and i just haven't had the time or the motivation to work on BloxGen. But what i have against what you guys have is quite a bit different, so i might release another "test demo" that still can't compile a full set (due to lack of terrain) but you guys could at least see how much different this version is i guess.

Believe it or not BloxGen is not dead and is in fact better than ever by far. So, to stoke excitement, i'm going to tell you people about some of the stuff it now has:

A lot of items and autotiles, including quite a few item recolors and items not featured in a tile set prior to this (lacking much terrain, please send terrain, autotiles, or items [preferably preripped])

A wide range of sound effects so that every action is precise

Item titles and some general credit info can be viewed on right click

Improved duplication mechanics so you can assemble a tileset a lot quicker with a lot less backtracking

Items are not deletable if only one of the object remains.

I'm surprised at how dead this topic is, this seems pretty solid. I'm behind you all the way.

I know nothing about Game Maker, but if you need a life-less slave to rip loads for you, I can do that, but you said they'd need GM knowledge, so yeah.

I hope that wasn't a hollow promise, because the truth is the quickie method only gets me so far. Please, rip everything you can manage to rip. Preferably tile sets. Please send it to me by way of MSN if possible. The MSN contact email is thebigvs@gmail.com if you cant send me something via the MSN of that adress i think that emailing to it ought to work assuming i clear it out like i'm about to.

I'm BAAAAACCCKKKKK......

Sorry guys, really sorry to you all. Real life caught up to me with an iron fist, but i'm doing okay now. Why isn't this in Welcome if i'm "Back"? I'll tell you why but the smarties out there ought to have deduced it: BLOXGEN RELEASE!!! Here we go, my Magnum Opus hits stage.... 0.9

Yes, 0.9. Its not really a full version 1 yet, but if i didn't realease this soon i fear i would collapse. It has everything promised, some sort of instructions, quite a few items (quite a few delightful recolors too) and hopefully its enough to at least get people motivated.

EDIT: Link (It says 1.0 but its 0.9)

I'm gonna try it right now, cause I've never even seen this thread, and it sounds good
EDIT: Your help text has a blooper, the help button is F1, not F3

There are a couple of glitches, such as if you make too many clones of something, and if you click on something that the clone is over, it clones both
There are a couple of tuts in the GMC forums to get rid of that glitch

My only really big complaint is the sounds, and the way the elements are arranged
Other then that it was pretty good
Keep up the good work, dude
