Is it color or colour?

Grandy again. While I think it's "color", I'd lite it if it were "colour".

It is both, actually. See, there are several dialects of English. Now the one I mostly try to use is the one used in the United Kingdom with writes it as colour. But the most familiar one is the one from the United States which is color.

It is like this with more words.
Honor - Honour

Can't think of more examples right now.

Let's not forget armour and valour.

"ou" is just the British way of spelling it. Americans are too lazy for spelling.

And, to be honest, it looks way better. More classy.

It's like people writing "no" instead of "know" and "armor" instead of "armour".

American english are a bit different from the queen's english. Certain "Redneck expressions" and such are counted as well.

Crackers and such might sound really brittish, but it's just that the unitied people of the country now called america decided to let it pass.

So yeah, both are correct.

But since japanese games and animes come to USA first(Because we got PAL) they translate it into what the americans want. So most games like that have american english in armor, ax, color and honor.
We just won't get rid of it.

I'm American and I still use the 'ou' and all, not even because I prefer it. It's habit for some reason. But yeah, it does look better anyway.

Besides, it's technically correct, what with the ENGLISH inventing the ENGLISH language and such.

Some argue the extra "u' is superfluous. Bollocks to them, I say! I don't hear you complaining about knife, gnome or hour!

Anyway, like Razor said... We spelt it first. It's colour. No argument. :p

Lovely...

Anyways, technically it's both. If you pronounce it kul-er its color, and if you pronounce kul-oor, it's colour
Basics of English Linguistics right thar
I personally pronounce it colour, cuz it sounds cooler

I would  just like to point out that all you who mix up normal American spelling and words with spelling of the United Kingdom are making lots of spelling mistakes. Seriously, you should stick with the one or another. At least that's what my college says.

I never seem to remember if the queen's english is grey or gray... That will forever remain a mystery to me.
