Something about everyone under 18 supporting Obama that bugs me alot. The percentage increasing as you get younger...
But I guess there's no point in complaining about it, I just hope that for once, a politician can do what he says he will do. Because now more than ever we can't afford another failed four years. I only wish everyone that voted had truly thought about their vote beyond, "Omg, he's black! He represents change!" And I know this is true for some, but it is also not true for some.

And honestly, I think he can do it, it simply remains to be proven and what scares me is he has little time to learn the ropes, so to speak.

haha, still, it's funny to see all the younger people side with obama. Maybe they're afraid of McCain's grizzled, old, "about to die" features.

man I just watched Obama's speech, it was pretty fucking amazing. Now I just hope he wasn't all talk like every other candidate ever..

I do have to say, he gave a very good speech, it raises my hopes that maybe he wasn't just bullshitting. I think it would be hard to say a lot of that without having your heart in it.

Giving a good speech doesn't mean ****. This guy can talk the talk, but we'll see if he can walk the walk.
Also, 3 more spots for the Democrats to have a super majority. (60 = ability to overturn a filibuster)
So yeah, this is sweet, possible super majority in a Democratic Congress and a Democratic Executive. So much for checks and balances, we're fucked.

You know what DOES irritate me. The black people here in Holland. All celebrating for Obama and I just know it's just because he is black, they probably have no clue about what he stands for. I mean, they don't care for Dutch news so **** foreign news. Ugh.

Same here. I guess it means a lot for them to see that people will now allow a Black person to lead the United-States. But Obama inspires changes, too. I don't think the fact that he his African American is the only reason they celebrate, though. But yeah, it's probably the main reason.
