Oh, how you disappoint me...
« on: February 17, 2010, 01:24:03 AM »
Now... are there any games or movies or whatever out there that you expected so much from? With all the hype and all the "THIS IS FUCKIN AWESOME! YOU GOTTA GET IT!!" that made you NEED it? Hmmm? I've got a few.

Fable 2 - I heard the first one was pretty damn awesome and a lot people rated this game highly. i was pretty damn peeved with the shitty *** ending... or lack of one. I mean, did it actually end? And was there even a new game plus? I wouldn't know due to getting a mission I COULD NEVER COMPLETE. That's right... after getting kicked off the Island by Terasa or whatever that bitch's name is and buying a kingdom.... I didn't know where to go from there. The Co-op system was just terrible. Having to actually SHARE a screen with the other player was a nightmare. Is it a crime to explore? (kicks the stupidass dog)

Boarderlands - Oh the hours of senseless violence and no ****ing plot. Repetitive missions and no real dialogue. Why is this game amazing? I don't know. I only play it for the achievements.

Prototype - Need I say anything for this?

Edge of Darkness - It dragged on and got me no where. I did laugh when the girl was shot and the other girl was hit by the car but other then that I just fell asleep.

I play a ps3, so I don't know nothing bout no fable 2...

but as for the others, eh. I didn't get a lot out of them either. Borderlands looked cool atleast.

World of mana....was so bad. It broke my heart.

*crosses fingers for bioshock 2*

I agree that designers should really try to deliver better on a lot of the features they promise. I personally thought Fable 2 was *** compared to part 1.

I was incredibly hyped for brawl as a SSBM tourneyfag and then it just slapped me across my face and took me anally, no spit.

Dante's Inferno - This feels so familiar... Oh yeah... God of War. Seriously, the only two differences are the location and lots and lots of nudiness. Apparently Lucifer has a giant hairy penis. Who knew?

Thanks for the Edge of Darkness spoiler...¬_¬ I didn't really want to go see it but have agreed to with my granny.

I was really hyped for the movie 9, although reviews of it were average. Visually, it was stunning, but not particularly memorable.

So stop calling me 'Anvas'.

omg. dantes inferno can go to hell *pun...INTENDED*

I played the demo and knew it was trash. Its really kinda dull, they don't really bring anything new to the table innovation wise.

heavy rains  demo was way better.

I hope red dead redemption is cool too

Borderlands is designed to be played with three other people, it's not that fun if it's not in co-op.

Absolutely shows story line and graphics don't make a game.

I liked how interactive it was. how fluid the controls were. and how it really gave you a sense that you were making the decisions.

I can't say much for the rest of the game though, having never played it.
I feel like its not perfect, but a good stepping stone for other games y'know?

LOL That made my day XD

Sorry Avnas... I have a 3 week grace period. After that, all is fair game.

I actually play Boarderlands Co-op but you can't deny the fact that it is repetitive.

FF3 for the DS was also weaksauce. The battles were too hard and there were too few phoenix downs.

It also kept the NES mana version thing whatever, which was awful. This really turned me down... it also had the FF1&2 battle system, where it was turned based, instead of FFIV+ where it works by speed... turned me down as well, though it could've been tolerable if it wasn't for that mana thing...

You liar.

Double that. I had no problem with the game, get... Wait, FF3 as FF3 or FF6? 'Cuz in FF3 all you had to do was to equip a viking with double shield and taunt every hard enemies. Even works on the last boss. Leaves the rest of the party to attend to complete awesome carnage.

Tales of Symphonia : The knight of ratatosk:
First game was ace and the sequel took a large log of oak and threw it in it's face, picked up the pieces and tried to make something nice out of it. Of course - homemade mirrors never work.

Star Fox command:
The whole "omg we has advance wars like tactics mode before you enter battles" turned me down, I wanted the whole "keep going straight ahead and shoot the living crap out of your enemies" instead of "fly into enemies on the world map and then try to hunt them down in a limited time"

Heroes of Mana:
Double disappointment - I was going to buy Children of Mana but picked the wrong one.
And then the controls are awful. Really awful, when trying to move a group of people they all split up becasue the person in front of them is in the way. I try to make them charge the enemy and half of my troop goes back, bump into each others for like 2 minutes and then goes around the whole place, through a bunch of other enemies and die.
If I want to move ALL the units I marked - why won't they move like a group instead of walking into each other and thinking "hey, this path is blocked!"

Xenogears:
Second disc killed any good thoughts about this game.
