I keep wondering if they remade the games because they ran out of new beginner pokemon.

My guess is... for money. They know it will sell, so why not?

Well they weren't in the old 2nd Gen games, I know that much. You're probably right, though.

The Apricorns were in G/S/C. You give 'em to Kurt and he make you love,nest, time and other balls.
They were removed in Gen3 though.

Played a little bit more. I think the changes are almost completely superficial really. They didn't change some of the more annoying parts of the game, like the encounter rate being so so SO high and being unable to search for Pokemon to trade online that you've never seen (which really defeats the whole point of trading; that is, to get Pokemon you don't have). Having Pokemon follow you around is kind of nice, but they don't really do anything. You can talk to them and they do a little emote and it says what they're feeling, but it has no effect on gameplay at all.

I don't feel ripped off or anything because I liked Silver and my game's cartage internal battery died a long time ago, but it's not like this series ever changes ever, so if anyone's expecting anything revolutionary, well, don't.

Yeah, I kinda wasn't expecting anything revolutionary myself. =\ But I can agree with the encounter rate. That's probably my only real complaint with the game.

Something weird did happen when I talked to one of my pokemon. I had just caught an onix and I wanted to see what he looked like walking with me. I turned to talk to him and it said, "Onix is holding something! Take it from him?" I said yes, but then the message said, "It's too important for onix to let go." Kind of interesting, it's probably just a potion, but I didn't expect that so it was kind of cool.

Yeah, apparently, HG and SS are having some issues on Flashcarts, so those with them might want to wait until they release a patch for it.

They will play, but crashing is imminent after a few events, so either wait or save and save OFTEN.

Ed; I noticed that with silver. I thought it was me bumping my cartiridge or something, guess not.

Lucas: it was one I caught, but I bet its more prevalent with traded ones.

Still lack money though. The trainers calling you back for a revenge is still there, right? And the day system too?

Phew! That's one of the feature I enjoyed the most. Though I usually skipped revenge, the fact that it was still possible was fun, and the day system too, with Pokémon or People appearing only at a certain time or day.

Trainers call you ALL THE FREAKING TIME. I have this kid that found a berry and keeps demanding every five minutes that I trek back to the starting area and, uh, I guess take the berry from him. Screw that. I can't figure out how to delete phone numbers you don't want so I mostly just stopped accepting them from people that sound like 'tards.

Uh, can't you just open the stats screen and look at what it's holding? I'm suddenly incredibly curious as to what it has.

Ill check it when I get the chance. I assumed it was something different then items all pokemon hold.
