Kinda makes me feel bad that we've been stuck with Master Chief as our #1 tough-guy shooter hero. I love him (or, rather, the games he stars in), but with DNF finally releasing, that is one doomed space marine.

I could almost respect this opinion, with a bit of extrapolation. I don't know how you couldn't like it though.
DN1 was a great adventure, simple as it is now, with a man who likes his Oprah going off to save the world from the evil Dr Photon. **** was crazy.
DN2 expanded on this a lot, from what I can remember. The graphics improved a whole lot, too.
But DN3D I don't know how anyone could not like. It had a nice array of weapons AND items and the level design is one of those most touted aspects of the game. And you add in that whole parody of a genre and the summarisation of 80s heroes and stuff, it's all good.

I like most of what I hear about DNF though. They brought back Allen Blum, who did most of the levels from Episodes 1 and 2 of DN3D. 3DRealms handpicked Gearbox to own the Duke Nukem IP, and Randy Pitchford, Gearbox President, was a former member of 3DR, to the extent that he actually worked on DN3D back in the day. My only concern is the consolatisation that has happened already - what with Duke only having two weapons at once. But hopefully that can be fixed (on the PC version).

I'm not a fan of the series. Why? Simply because I've only played one of the game; Time to Kill. Hard to like a whole series when you only tried one of the games, eh. Why? I'm not sure, I suppose I didn't have any opportunity to try any other or something. I suppose I should try one of them games some day.

I did like Time to Kill, though.

I forgot they existed. I played a port of DN3D on the playstation, once. It had no ability to use items.
