Dearest instant messaging folks
« on: October 22, 2010, 03:49:58 PM »
AVOID MSN 2011
AVOID IT LIKE THE PLAGUE
IT'S ****
IT'S LIKE IF HITLER CAME BACK IN IM PROGRAM FORM
IT SPREADS NAMES ALL ACROSS THE THING
AND IT DISPLAYS YOUR HOTMAIL NAME IN CONVERSATIONS WITH PEOPLE
WHICH MAY OR MAY NOT SHOW UP ON THEIR END
BUT IT'S REALLY DISCONCERTING WHEN YOU HAVE A ROGUE'S GALLERY OF PEOPLE ON YOUR LIST
AND YOU SEE YOUR NAME THERE MID CONVERSATION
AND YOU ASK YOURSELF "**** DID I JUST GIVE MY EASILY SEARCHABLE NAME TO FREAKS ON THE NET?"
WHICH MIGHT BE OKAY FOR JOHN AND JANE SMITH
BUT NOT FOR ME

so yeah it's pretty bad avoid that ****
why do Microsoft gotta break a working thing

"Do not give your name on the internet."
Yet, your real name shows. Awesome.
I'd have two solutions for this. Either I won't take it, like you suggest, or I will change my "real name".
This is stupid. It's juts like when Blizzard intended to make your friend list show your real name (or something very similar). What's with all the stupid, suddenly? Did the fifth Horseman come back?

What're you talking about? MSN isn't a working thing. It runs on Internet Explorer, so it was beyond repair the moment it was created. I spent the past the past six days off of it, only to find out that the reason I couldn't sign on was because of a setting in Internet Explorer.

I heard it's like facebook + msn. Kinda.

Also, I can't send images to people with the new version. Nor can I use the drawing thingy of msn which I totally dig late at nights.

Yes, Prpl. Apparently they're following in Aim's footsteps or something like that. I have a friend who was working on that project <<
