Seriously. Is it just economically impossible to make a good 2D game anymore? Cuz those were pretty rad.

Oh wow! You should try Limbo. Bought the game the other day and played it under the influence of... stuff.

Hey, Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 were great.

Also, did anyone play Sonic Colors? That was pretty solid.

Secret Rings was good too, and the story was alright on that one. But my fave from modern sonic has to be SA2

Got some sonic people in ma' gang and they seemed excited about finally getting something playable.

Beside that I gotta say that them companies have been pushing out good 2d games lately.
We got Other M which was a great game, just not as good as the prime series.
Then we had New super mario bros which actually took me back to the good ol' times.
That donkey kong country was pretty neat as well, never been a DK fan but enjoyed the game either way.
And well, the latest kirby game looks downright rad.

...Other M wasn't 2D?
Not even close.

Also, Rayman Origins.
's pretty great. At least, from the demo it is.

Oh right, you're talking 2D and not platformers. I withdraw my previous statements.

The others had 2D gameplay (I haven't played DKC, so not sure on that one), so I believe they count.

So glad I'm not the only one who wasn't enamored with NSMBW. I mean, to be fair I'm not one for multiplayer and that seems to be the emphasis, really.

As for Sonic, I haven't played any of the games since Sonic 3 in Ye Olde Genesis Days, but my sister has it and seems to be enjoying it. Maybe I'm being too much of a nostalgia purist :B

Then there's also the fact you could do stuff like this.

Knuckles has gotten faster lately.
And yeah, I watched some gameplay of the 'Sonic 2006' stages in this game. Bleaurgh, the level design is marginally better. But still completely unplayable.

Is the Prime series considered in part 2 for the morph ball challenges?

Resident Evil 4 HD= $20. Best game evar made, and best in the series.
Final Fantasy 4 PSP Collection= $30. Comes with 3 games. FF4 and FF4TAY are AMAZING, Interlude not so much but still worth it.
Megaman 9 and 10= $20 combined. Awesome games
Sonic Generations= $60 for one game. Okay, but not worth the $60.
Metal Gear Solid HD= $60 for MGS2 Substance, MGS3 Substance, MG1 and MG2 for MSX and Peace Walker, most of which have some replay value. That's $12 a game, and each is amazing.

There are better things that cost way less or equal and will give you way more enjoyment. Maybe if the price drops, it would be a good buy.
