Fought a little. Struggled with inconsistent controls. Found the actual gameplay to be rather uninteresting. I played it on a 3DS, if that matters.

Game has a kinda steep learning curve.  3DS is probably a little more difficult to control.  It's all about timing and button mashing won't work.  An example is dual swords, their weaknesses are no blocking capabilities, sharpness dulls quickly and it's hard to dodge during combos because it won't let you or you hit the attack button too many times.  Another example is Great Sword.  Very slow and takes timing and if you miss, it can leave you open. But it is powerful and capable of blocking most attacks.  Controls work very well, you just gotta get used to them.

You pretty much need the control pad plus to make it comfortable on the 3ds if you ask me. The camera controls just bugs me out otherwise. Still, the AAA battery in it is on it's 200th hour now and still haven't dried out.

I nice little picture, say graphically like that picture you see when you open up Rm2k3, except it would be easier to do haha.

Normal Nargacuga is fine, wings are just so damn hard.

The Green one was just a complete horror. Larger, faster, more combos. Awful. Only thing that could make it worse would be poison or something.

Trying to get past rank 7 but there is just no beating the dragon zinogre or g rank deviljho, it probably comes from switching between rathalos and azure rathalos sets that both have -20 something dragon res.  But still.
Trying to upgrade stuff and craft some stuff, but I'm not getting any Lrg Wyvern stones. I need a lot of them but no one wants to drop it.Only managed to get one so far against a S barioth and diablos combo when I had the food skill "lucky cat" (not crazy lucky cat).

Just downloaded and played the mini uragaan quest. Brings back memories of that "phantom uragaan" quest in tri.

Deviljho's my bitch.  Stygian Zinogre however can get annoying only because of its damn floating dragon balls.  You wait until you fight Lucent Nargacuga.  It is evil.

I sure do hate captain goldbeard. I'm trying to get some furs and the deep dragongem, sure I expect the gem to be rare. But after 3 kills with everything broken I have only received 1 g cedeus fur.
Also the diablos hardhorn. Sure, the hardbone is easy but the hardhorn is hard. There's not a huge chance to get stout horns but the hardhorns are even worse.

Still haven't beaten Mark of a hero yet, beat all them individually at G rank but the combo is just terrible. I struggle with I lagi with his instant lightning fields and his humongous size. Then there's the combo and brachy always gets me one way of the other. Rathalos dies pretty easy but by the time everthing but brachy is dead - I'm kinda out of potions.

Also, the problem with deviljho is that he got a lot of hp, I start to panic towards the end, just like with every duramboros and make mistakes.

So yeah, got a better weapon for joe and it all went fine.

Stygian zinogre with his blasted dragonballs is still a serious pain in my *** though.

Beat dire miralis, prefered it before goldbeard any day. Kinda passive, but impossible to be around when he is on all four. Also, what is the point of the ballistas if he starts shooting fire balls at you the moment you mount it?
The meggido weapons are great with some serious fire damage on 'em.

Silver and gold rath were kinda boring. Just a big open field, impossilble to place pitfall traps, no supplies. Just a pile of elder dragonbones in a corner. Can't for my life beat the lucent nargacuga either, that thing turns invisible....

Trying to beat mark of a hero again, using my slime switch axe but it's still not going great. I hate ilagi with a burning hatred, brachy and thalos combo just don't give me an honest chance when brach just blows his temper all the time and the other idiot just blows me around with his friggin wings and those blasted fireballs.

the towers were from like the first monster hunter, so you can't expect much detail from it.
