Not on topic at all but: I'm playing Final Fantasy XIV ARR, and Diablo 3 right now. Oddly they are both games that sorta tanked at first, and have since then been improved dramatically. They are both worth looking into if you like PC RPGs.

Gonna get into diablo again with the expansion pack.

Not sure about FFXIV though, the game looked great during Beta and was pretty interesting. But it got a monthly fee right? How much is it?
Nevermind, I should't get into monthly pay mmos right now. Maybe later, but not right now.

I'm fairly sure I'll be playing through Diablo II with a friend and his friend. We were discussing it the other night, and we all verified that we still had our D2 and Lord of Destruction disks. I am cool with that.

Diablo 2 is still a great game, no doubt. I actually rather replay it than Path of Exile.

I wish more people played Torchlight II. It was really fun.

That it is. That's actually how we got to the topic of replaying Diablo II. The two of them had just finished beating Torchlight and were planning on moving on to Torchlight II. I would have loved to join in on that, but personal complications would keep me from playing it with them.

That's the sads. I've been busy playing SMITE and working on Home to really play or mess with anything else. e_e

I got a level 100 Outlander before the workshop was released (no mods.), and never felt the enthusiasm to get through the game again. I tried every class too, even a bunch of workshop ones. It was a good game, but it just doesn't have the same replay value of say Diablo 2, or Path of Exile. Even Diablo 3 is having more replay value for me now that they've fixed it quite a bit.

Yeah, I tried Torchlight a lot too. It was better than Diablo 2 in every way I could think that mattered, which is (I felt) very high praise......... yet, for some reason, it just never gripped me. There was something missing there.

I really liked Mythos, the diablo mmo game the Torchlight team worked on before they made Torchlight. Never got into Torchlight though found it way to easy on the hardest difficulty. Haven't tried the second one yet.

Perhaps was it the fact that it looked cartoony?

I had fun with Torchlight, but, as with every Hack & Slash, I kinda grew bored of it after a while. I'll probably go back to it at some point.

It was the lack of a persistent economy in Torchlight 2. In Diablo 2 you always had something to work for as far as items you wanted goes, in Torchlight 2, everyone could cheat and use the console from the get-go, so there wasn't anything to work towards besides leveling up. That gets old fast.

Yeah, but what kind of person actually uses console commands to cheat?

You can use the console in Torchlight 2?

I wasn't implying that I did. I never used it, but it completely destroyed any potential in-game economy.
