I agree with the lines, but that sort of helps to make fishing feel like an expensive sport which I sort of like :p As for the fish locations, there are fishing magazines scattered around that give hints, but other than that its very much 'try a few lures'. Lures aren't only good for catching their recommended fish... I think some fish are bottom feeders and sone are top, etc etc

I liked fishing, I caught the two mega fish that I knew of in the game. They were tough and took a while buta blast doing.

So I made some good progress, and not to spoil too much but I'm enjoying a train ride at the moment.

What was the point of that monster arena thing? I didn't really have problem winning the matches and earned a neat car engine in no time. It was tedious but not difficult.

I also tried to catch one of the difficult fishes but it was just to strong, line broke in a few seconds. And then for some reason I managed to unlock a lvl 99 hunt quest.

I actually never did the monster arena once. Whooops. I didn't do Chocobo racing either.

Arrrgh it's killing me that FF15 is the first title in a long time on this next gen Nva Crystalis that looks flawless in story and gameplay and I can't play cause I can't afford a new console...-.-; Tell me is the PC version as good as the console?

flawless in story
Erm... I wouldn't say it was flawless in story, dude. It's rushed, fragmented and a bit confusing. But I still like it.

Sounds about right. I reached the part of the story where I could return and do all those sidequests again. Looking for the last 2 kingsglaives as well. I assume one is in tower castlemark but I have no idea how to enter. Also regarding fishing, I bought the Reel from the monster arena and have the pole from Lake vesperpool. Is there any more upgrades that can be made? Dude wants me to catch some monster fish in Golden Qey now.

Doing the last couple of sidequests and a lot of hunts now. It's just really difficult to know how hard they are. Sometimes a lvl 38 hunt is easy, other times you have trouble with a lvl. 35.

Are there any better weapons than those sold in chapter 14?

PS: I hate the wasp hunts. Your AI fellows can't do **** against them. You can barely do anything against them and they keep confusing you all the time.

You can go into Costlemark at night.

Also, Cid will upgrade certain weapons for you, like the Engine Blade. It's worth doing that.

Okay so I beat the game, lvl 74 and spent like 72 hours, 20-ish of those were from doing all the hunts and sidequests before finishing the game. I guess I just expected more after 10 years development.

Also, what is the point of New game +?. And for that matter, the Regalia type F?

Also looked through the old trailers, pretty much nothing made it into the finished game. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ACSpgGAjGfM Although that might haven been in the whole "let's make this ffxv instead" process

It was announced as a different game 10 years ago, it hadn't  been in development for 10 years. Closer to 3.

While this is true the story still feels rushed and not really thought through. I just expected that 7 years of planning before 3 years of working would make a more coherent story. This feels a bit like FF type 0, especially with the rushed ending. I kinda expected them to learn from Xenogears all those years ago.

I can honestly say that I kinda get what happened near the end, but it's not thanks to the game but rather me filling in the blanks with generic JRPG stereotypes. I don't know if there is some sort of secret dungeon out there with additional info about the final boss or why it is the way it is but it should be more obvious to the player. I still have no idea why the next to last boss is what it is, or why it was there in the first place.

I really love the design of the game, the battle system, the open world where you need to wage bonus exp or better food and all that. The skills that level up and chocobos that are customizable. But I just feel like a game needs a good story as well. And I donno, maybe I was hoping that this would be the FF that would bring that back. But maybe the days of story focus are over.

I'm gonna wait till they're all out, or until I have time/money to get the pass, since that puts it at a discount.

Played through the whole game just after it got released. The gameplay is really fun. The story was a confusing and unfinished mess in my opinion. But goddamn did it not stop the bro-tier fun with the cast. I love all four of them, felt like a good group of friends and lots of fun. Still have to check the DLC, and beat the turtle boss. Oh, and some of the post-game dungeons but I found them really lazily put together.
