Originally posted by DragonBlazeRuby scripting allows you to edit or add anything you want to the game including the menu and battle systems, text, the way you walk, gfx sizes, how the title screen is desplayed, how large the message box is, and much more. It makes rmxp vertually limitless on what you can do. I love working with gfx in rmxp, it has a higher resolution meaning I can make my gfx more detailed, and plus I can make 8-bit colors instead of 256 colors. The bad thing about it is that it makes it harder for people who don't know ruby to work with it. They still can of course, but then they can't have facesets, they cant play movies, they cant change the transparancy of message boxes, and there stuck with the crappy battle system.
Originally posted by DragonBlazeI see this might turn into an argument, so we should probably stop talking about the ups and downs of rmxp in this topic. Maby we could start one on it somewhere else if it isn't against the rules.
