Intro -
You start off in a ship with your partner, sailing across the ocean, on search for a legendary dragon egg. One night as you go to sleep, a storm starts up throws your ship around.
The next morning when you wake up, you don't here the oceans water. your partner, still asleep, is laying on the ship floor. you wake your partner up and he wonders were you 2 are. unsure, you leave the ship and notice an entrance to a forest.
You and your partner enter the forest, and notice a village not to far.Steve (your main character) goes up to the village.
When you enter the village, you go into one of the houses, there is and old man. He askes you to do him a favour. he wants you to find him his cane. when he finishes, go find his cane and give it to him. once he has his cane he will give yoou 4500Gp.
go to the pub and look in flour jar and get 500gp. Talk to the man in there, he will sell you a house for 5000Gp. buy it. then you go to the center house in the village, enter, then leave and your partner will show up telling  you to go into the forest, and he will join your party.

Thats what i have.

Has potential, but what's the story?  What's the motive of the characters to find this egg?

I know this sounds kindof basic but...

the resin why your sent to find the egg was becuase the king in your old country had sent you to destroy it before it hatches. Eventually, you hear that something was flying in the sky (the dragon) and you have to find it and destroy. you battle it once, and you think its dead, eventually you find it again, and one more time after. Basicly, the o]point in destroying the egg is to pretty well save the world from destruction.

Isn't that pretty typical? Dragon is evil, destroy dragon. Sounds like another Dragon Warrior if you ask me.

Critisism isn't always bad. It helps you realize what's wrong with your game.

And I agree with them, your story's too cliche. It might be an idea to make the dragon good or something, and the king wants to kill it because he doesn't understand that it doesn't want to destroy.

Hmmm, that's a bit cliche too, but really anything that's cliche can turn out great if you just know how to work with it.  As long as something major is thrown in there to make it different and distinguish it, you can make a cliche game and no one would care.

Isn't it also typical that when I post a topic with a title that supposedly is unrelated to the topic itself (which is utter bullshit) DOES get noted, and this topic, WITHOUT a title, DOESN'T get noted about it.
