Cheat Tutorial

[Sephiroth rocks]

This tutorial requires working enter hero name.

1. Go to the database and make a new character. Don't mess around with anything.

2. DMS users: Go to 'Common Events' and make a new one and set it to be parellel process. Then select the event command 'Key input processing' (a.k.a. password) and select the button you'd like to trigger the event and make sure the variable fits the value.  Then show a picture or something and select 'enter hero name' and choose the new hero's name to be changed. Then select 'conditional branch' and choose hero name is (Whatever you wants the cheat to be named) and make whatever you want to happen when the cheat has been typed like making your characters level 99.

It could look like this:
<> Enter hero name: (Name of hero)
  <> Branch if hero (Name of hero) is GIMME GIMME
   <> Change money: 999999 add
   <> Message: Cheat Activated

CMS users: Do excactly the same exept teleporting the hero to a new map with a parrelel process event where the stuff happens.

you can also do what i did in my game,
you can make an event in a certiant(if thats spelled right)place.
I suggest you put it in a place that isn't predictible(such as lying in the grass somewhere but its invisible)make it so you have to press action key on that spot then put something like "Change items" or "change money" whatever you wnat the cheat to be.
the event should look like the attatchment
or if you want to make it better you can make it so that the cheat only works when a switch is on,that makes the odds of them finding the cheat out less

after putting on the cheat you must change hero name back to what it was! :p

i did whats on there...

tell me plz so i can understand man step by step i did first
enter password (shift)
then change name = maxmeout
then i did fork (name) = maxmeout
then i did changemoney
then i did changename back to (name)

Couldn't you do this?

Use the press key, opening a common event with the input number, if they input a certain number it opens another common event that gives that item etc.  you'll have to use variables for this.  If you need a better description, I can make one.
