California is pretty cool. LA has it's good parts and bad parts, but Santa Monica is pretty much all good.

Heh, what the hell is up with 'territories'? Canada has 10 provinces and 3 territories... why not just 13 provinces?? Anyone know?

According to dictionary.com, the commonwealths are  Kentucky, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.

Thanks for the info, FFL. :) I couldn't remember them, except for Kentucky.

I never knew about commonwealths 0.o

Territories are areas of a country that haven't yet achieved statehood. Mainly because they didn't meat the population requirement or some other requirement, or maybe because they just don't want to be a state. As far as I remember though, being a state gives you some benifits.

Hell Yeah! Just recovered all my old rm2k/3 games from my 10 year old, broken laptop hard drive that had been formatted and had a new OS installed on it. Oh, and I did all of this from my phone. WIN

Come to Texas and be disappointed that we aren't gunslingin' horse-ridin' cowboys. I think Texas would be more fun if we all did that just for the tourists. The majority of Texans do, however, spout "ya'll" a lot.

Some Texas facts:
-Texas has the first domed stadium in the country (Astrodome... what are we going to do with you). The structure was built in Houston and opened in April 1965.
-Dr Pepper was invented in Waco in 1885. The Dublin Dr Pepper, 85 miles west of Waco, still uses pure imperial cane sugar in its product. There is no period after the Dr in Dr Pepper. (Hell yeah Biatches!) :D
-Texas is the only state to enter the United States by treaty instead of territorial annexation.
--as part of this treaty, Texas is the only state that can fly it's flag at the same height as the US flag. Other state flags are generally flown directly below the US flag.
--Texas maintains the right to divide into 5 seperate states at any time if so wished. The names of these states would be (get this) North Texas, East Texas, South Texas, West Texas, and Central Texas.
