Wow, what a dumb chainletter. Chainletters suck period, their whole point is to make you feel bad for doing something or not doing something. It doesn't matter what you do, it's never enough. Remember when people said if you played "Stairway to Heaven" backwards you can hear demonic  things. Well, I did that, and no. Just no. Every now and then you hear somethig that sounds liek a word, but even then it doesn't make much grammatical sense. It sounds more like someone mumbling something with a muffin in their mouth than satan sending subliminal messeges of evil corruption. Bogus and ignorant. Like people who try and tell me the the Holocaust didn't happen, or we never landed on the moon. Everyone gets a differentm essege from the things they listen, too. It's not the music that kills people, people kill people when they take things too far or too seriously.

I agree with Desi 100%. Don't need to look for subliminal messeges in (some) rap to find the bad. As in anything. You want to find something bad? Look for satanic bands or just google Maralyn Manson for christ's sake. They're not hiding anything.

Take it as you want, but I'm betting you're a Jehova's Witness. I don't mean that as a flame, merely pointing it out. I believe I have the right to say that, especially since I was a Jehova's Witness for a while. They believe that everything outside their "Kingdom Halls" is the Devil's World. Ok, as an atheist I'll admit I hate things like this.

Firstly. If you're gonna try and tell me, just because I listen to some music that is OTHER PEOPLE'S opinions, I'm going to hell, that is retarded. Just because I listen to music, because I enjoy it, does not mean I believe the people's opinions. For example. I listen to As I lay Dying, POD, Creed, and many other Christian bands. Sure, the music is good, but it's not coverting my religious beliefs. And on the other end of the spectrum, Slayer, Slipknot, Manson. And although I believe their atheism is more correct, I believed it long before I listened to crazy metal and what not.

Music is an artform, and as such should not be taken so seriously. Yes, there are artists who openly worship the devil, some worship god, some are just atheists. But for you to try and tell me that music is evil, that's retarded. Just because you don't like a type of music, DOES NOT MAKE IT EVIL. It's opinion. Next you're gonna be breathing down somebody's neck cause jesus isn't on our coins and we're worshipping the Queen of England (Canadian money).

See, I can talk to religious people and not have a problem with them. In fact, my BEST friend is really religious, and I'm atheist. Guess what we do when we hang out. We play music. My friend attends church every sunday, and prays nightly. So are you saying, because he plays guitar and doesn't write religious music, he's going to hell? That makes no sense. Its when people like you start trying to tell me what to believe that I get upset. Do you see me coming on here with a giant rant about how God does not exist? Before this, when have I ever openly expressed my beliefs? I don't. Why? Because religion should not have an impact upon a relationship, a friendship, and should not be imposed upon a forum board.

So here's my final thought. Mods, please do not lock this thread, because I believe it can be used for USEFUL debates. I love to debate with religious people about god. If you feel it needs to be locked because SOME people cannot take a stupid chain email lightly, well, then fine. And please buddy, don't try pressing your beliefs on others. Rock is not evil. R&B and Hip Hop are not evil. I listen to nearly all forms of music, with the exception of opera. So... I guess in your belief, I'm goin to hell. Well, I'll see you there
