jeez...A guy could make some crazy templates for crazy chipsets.

This is a free set from the main website. Keep in mind that this screenshot was directly exported from Sketchup. Also keep in mind that this was not properly rendered at all.

You'd be surprised at what you can do with this program.

I'm having trouble deciding on Sprite sizes. Tall or normal sprite size. The tall size looks awkward by some things, such as cars, and some door ways. But the normal looks a bit awkward by the trees. How do you guys feel about it? I want to use the tall sprites, but I don't know if it'll be worth it.

EDIT: That pictures looks positioned just fine to me fortet. Just experiment with the X and Y coordinates. X is the horizontal axis(positive number push the picture to the right, negative push the picture to the left) and Y is the vertical axis(positive numbers push the picture up, negative number push the picture down). Hope that helps.

Dren - Recolor or reshade the tall characters to match the chipset and I think you'll have definate a winner.

Fortet - CTS are pretty easy. I can explain the process of making one via PM if you still need help. Yours looks pretty good so far.

Oceans Dream - Thanks for the trees. I used one in the screen belows.

On to me.... I've been bored enough lately (due to issues with my car and my 3 best friends being on vacation), so I went back to a little screwing around in rpg maker.

I changed my favorite map I've ever made into a floating island. I pretty much ruined the map itself, but the outcome isn't bad at all.

And... some random ruins I felt like making... Inspired by the fact that I restarted playing DarkCloud 2

Are you still using the chipsets you posted in your thread?

I've found a fancy little recolor technique. It might make that chipset match a little better. Would you mind if I did something with it?

If you're not afraid to make a special sort of template, I'd fully suggest creating characters that are inbetween 'Tall' and 'Normal' height status.

Buuut if that's not your cake, I'd go with Normal size. Has more options. Both for sprites, and pose making.

Archeia: I like the style of your game, even the battle sprites are nice. Tho that background is RTP and doesn't fit the style of everything else.
Everything else is really nice on the eyes.

Bluhman: I took your advice and came out with an interesting sprite. I may make a template and go with it. It's the one in the middle.

Personally, I love it. I know the 2D depth doesn't really match but the colors look nice.
