Thanks Linkforce! I wasn't sure if it was too messy looking, even though it is a slum. If you want the chipset I can send it to you.

Here's some interiors! These aren't interiors of the slummy buildings. These are more government buildings.

That last one is pretty awkward, haha.

Cool, the goddess kinda clashes, but it looks sorta like that is the point.

How so? It's supposed to be a monument of sorts.

The color scheme of the room versus the goddess, but like I said, it doesn't look too bad since it seems purposely done.

Also, I have to say, looking at your shots makes me feel quite embarrassed about the productivity of my mapping lately. As, I've done very little. Haha.

Oh, okay, I see what you're saying. Maybe changing the flame to a normal red and yellow color, or no flame at all might help that. Maybe distinguishing it as a center piece or focal point of the room.

And don't worry, I haven't been nearly as productive as I would like. =)

EDIT: here we go...

Simple but effective, I think.

I would change the colours of the statue to share a pallette with the rest of the fixtures (walls, floor tiles etc). I think it would look way more 'in place' that way.

I wasn't sure how to apply color palettes directly to another image. I didn't know you could do it in MS Paint til after a quick google session. Here was the result.

Looks a lot like the original statue but fits a hell of a lot better. It's amazing what a simple palette swap can do.

The chipsets and design is pretty cool. Did you sprite the statue yourself?

Thanks! =D But no, I didn't sprite it myself. I'm not much of graphics artist. I can edit things as I need them, but everything I use is pulled from somewhere else.

No, no Felix. Don't take that as a pointless flame, it was a serious question. You been doing this for what? Two? Three years? And your map is still square, empty and just lack life. Which leads me to believe that either you are not trying or you got a freakishly bad learning curve.
Okay. I wasn't posting screens for mapping. I haven't even been working on this project for a year. I scrapped my old project, if you pay attention. Also I was just making a joke of the situation.
I admit my mapping sucks okay. But some areas I am proud of, I just didn't take screenshots of those locations.
