What a feeling
« on: July 05, 2006, 09:11:56 AM »
I watched the whole Martian Successor Nadesico seires for the second time. I have never felt so good about a series in along time. It just left me with a pleasant, and inspired feeling afterwards. I feel like a anime was just introduced to me again.  :happy: I've seen plenty of anime and movies, but nothing has left me like that.

Does anyone else have a a movie or anime series that does the same thing?

The Lord of the Rings Series and Braveheart always make me feel really inspired.

LOTR cause it's just so... insanely awesome

and Braveheart cause that actually happened, and I'm Scottish :D

Basically any chick flick there is.......... >.>  Just kiddin'

The first time I saw Akira, I was just like, 'wow, that's from the eighties, and it rocks'.  Also, the Star Wars movies really make me wanna be a Jedi...

On a slightly off-topic note, the album 'In Your Honor' by Foo Fighters actually makes me want to play music.

You can probably locate my anime list somewhere, and I refuse to list it again.  And I wont post all of it, because there's at least 50.

Good movies:
Monty Python (MP) and the Holy Grail
MP Life of Brian
~~~~
Theres a third MP out there, but I've never seen it, so I can't say if it's good, however it probably is.
~~~~
Spaceballs
Robin Hood Men in Tights
Final Fantasy Advent Children
Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy
LOTR (As others have so nicely put)
Boondock Saints

Those were my favorites.  As you can see, I prefer comedy over everything else.

As in anime, Cowboy Bebop.

As in any other serie, Lost and Red Dwarf. I always hate to see the Red Dwarf ending. It's great, yes. But it tears me up that it's gone.

Beck leaves me like that. Watching Friends' ending was hard too, but I felt really good...

As for things I watch, Beck is the only one that maker me wanna cry for real.

I love and hate finishing RPGs...I almost always wanna cry too.

I almost cried when I finished Dragonball Z in japanese (In other words, about a year ahead of everyone else.)

When the episode finished, I closed my media player, and just sat in my chair.  I didn't know what to do.  That's when I discovered...there were more anime's..

And that my friends, is the story of how I began my epic journey of anime watching.  Once I finish my next batch of anime series, I will have watched 100 series!  Yay!

Anyway...

I forgot to ask this earlier, and if I just edit my post no one will read it.  So I'm going to ask it now.  Do you have any preferences for anime and movies?  A genre perhaps.  If it's comedy, then I can provide possibly more information than most others here.  I'm guessing.

Haven't seen the Cowboy Bebop one? Now that's a tear-breaker.

Rave Master's ending was a very tearful ending.  Not because you're sad, but because it ended so horrible.  Tears of rage.  It ends in a way that suggests another season or 2.  They decide that they're going to go fight the even greater evil guy, and finished.  Done.  Over.  It says read the manga to see how it ends.  I've been searching for these for almost 2 years.

ARGH!

This could turn into a spam thread if I were to debate and recommend anime, so might I suggest contact via PM or Instant Messanger (AIM/MSN) if you are serie aboot this.

as for movies, The last scene of Pulp fiction always is uplifting. It's the perfect way to end it: with Jules' redemption.
