Charas Reflections 2006
« on: December 01, 2006, 07:11:55 PM »
It's the time of year again. It's sort of a yearly tradition. I can still remember two... wait, it was three... yeah, three years ago, that we first started the Charas what did you think of the whole year crap. Yeah. I believe Charas already exists f... three years or so. It turned from a generator site to a community which has absolutely nothing to do with the generator, but anyway, it's something we've done for two years already, and since it's the last month of the year, I think this is the right moment to start such thread.

Now I wasn't here the whole year, so I can't say anything about this site. I do know that a lot has happened. What the **** has happened with carmen for example? Why the hell did Midnight become mod? And why oh why did that bastard Kijuki leave us like that?

Yeah, I love you all too. Anyway, remember 25th of December, the day Charas Breakout DX will be launched. As a sort of celebration that Charas already exists three years. Yeah.

So, keep the topic alive!!!

I feel really sick, maybe I'll write a better text later.

I found that I made lots of rants in my LiveJournal about various things that happened on Charas this year. Mods getting fired, troll invasions, contests and elections... good times.

I'm planning on writing a year update but we still have one month left so you'll just have to wait until closer to the new year.

When I was awarded 'Newb of the Year', that was the highlight of my.....  year, both on Charas and real life.....  other than that, my year pretty much sucked, sadly.  BUT  this is no thread to be complaining in, so allow me to say with great pleasure that Charas is teh shiznit.

We finally owned Raffles, and he still managed to make us feel guilty about it. xD

And I came second in a contest. Again.

I will win something one of these days. You mark my words, Charas.

Yeah, the whole Raffles thing made me leave this place. I found it completely pathetic how this issue was handled, even after the many times we had such things.

And I extremely found it offensive to compare Raffletard with RRWP.

Well, a lot of things happened that I didn't want to happen.
A lot of great members left.
Carmen and GhostClown especially. They were probably my best buds on this site, and I didn't like how everyone jumped on the bandwagon and insulted them without much knowledge of the situation.
Snake Eater, CyberNinja, and others were part of that crew as well.

tis sad :'(

Anyways, I became a mod, which I thought I deserved 2 years ago, but realized I wasn't mature enough to handle it until now.

Charas went through major changes this year. I don't know what they were, but they happened.

Why is my name always used for stuff...? Can't there be one I remember thread without me being in it? Huh? Really know how to offend someone.

Remember that time when something happened because somebody did something that caused everybody else to do something?

What  did I do at Charas this year? Hmm...

I had those GWAAAH avatars for a while.
And I started the iPod avatar fad. Woot.

Heh, by that time, it'll be almost 4 years! :p Alex registered on Jan. 19, 2003, so the forums' 4th anniversary is just over a month away. Hooray! :)

Do you really want me to go into the memory that most stuck out for me this year?

...wait let me rephrase that.

I'd like to consider myself the starter of the short lived fake "Who is online" sigs.
