ummmmmmmm......i don't know how to do nething when it comes to charas.  like sumone posted before, i am a noob at charas.  and i do understand what you my by unimaginative, but i'm just taking what i know and throwing it together.  once i do this one i'll be able to start a
fresh game.  this game is for me to get an understanding of rpg maker 2k3.

Unless you're a good game maker. I threw one together in like a day, and people agreed that it was the most silly game they had ever played, while still being enjoyable.

I really think you should practice your game-making skill by making some games that... Well, try new things. Try new things in your games; storylines, code, anything. We're not too fond of first time games, but with time, you'll get better.

Would the real world be ignorant of FF? My first thought would be like something out of "Last Action Hero" or something for kids.

It would be awkward if people who were fans of FF recognized the invading critters. You'd have to explain how it would be possible that a game would be brought into reality, and I personally couldn't picture that not looking like something out of a Disney flick.

The FF aspect would lose all of its impact, because it would be reduced to a piece of fiction in the eyes of the characters and most importantly, the player.

You could create some otherworldy origins for FF, that the games were based on a parallel world, with the tales being visions written down by a demented Japanese prophet in a basement or something, to minimize that.

guys look.  this is my idea.  maybe i should tell you about the idea of the game that comes before this one.  FF:The Mix.  that one basically you play through the old ff games and that will explain more how the ff world became the real world.  i don't know how i came up with this. it just kinda popped into my head.  neways a little more info.  sum of the places will be on the game from the old ff's are, the floating continent(btw, if sumone knows where i can find where to make chipsets and/or find this chip set for me plz), mount koltz, figaro(i know, all from 6 so far), midgar, cosmo canyon, zanarkand, and more.

Wait a sec... You're mixing sprites from the "miniature" Final Fantasy like FF4, with RTP-styled sprites, and FFT sprites?

If so, I can assure you, your game is going to be the ugliest thing ever introduced to Charas. *Insert joke about Drace here*
