What Mid is talking about is more formally known as  Moral Relativism. You can read the article if you want to know all about it, but basically it boils down to a belief that morals, ethics, etc. are all based upon culture, personality, etc, and as such the thought of, say, one person thinking the girl deserved to be stoned cannot be compared against the thought that she shouldn't unless both positions come from similar moral backgrounds. A simple example would be two Chrstians of similar levels of faith arguing over whether it was okay to stone her.

Personally, I think it was wrong, but I'm not going to lose sleep over it - I didn't know her. I could certainly try and sympathize and probably pull up caring and emotion for her as a fellow human being, but all that gets me is some sad feelings, because I can't bring her back to life. And I don't believe that I have the devotion to such a cause to make a difference and save the lives of future girls in similar situations. Sure, I could try and be Smo's Domino, but I just don't think it would be that big of a difference.

I deal with death by minimizing it - people die every day, so why should I be surprised that someone dies? Or if someone I know dies? I may have concern for their loved ones and others hurt by their death, and may still feel sad for their passing away and miss them, but it is hardly the major change many people make it out to be because sooner or later they were going to die anyway.

And thus, it doesn't seem that important to me. I watched the video, felt bad for the girl, but didn't get sick because there's no point in getting sick - people have died worse deaths. Hell, people have suffered more by living - the guy who lost half of his face in a car accident and was conscious through the entire process of retrieving him, surgery, etc. and watched from his free eyeball that was laying on a mound of flesh because he didn't have a socket for it anymore. There's ALWAYS something worse.

Come on Osmose. Some people just aren't as visual as others so when they hear a story of something crazy it doesn't phase them but when they see it they freak out. Which is always funny to watch and yes I hope no one loses any sleep over this but just to say
"oh well, **** happens" is just flat out stupid.

my point in posting this wasn't to depress anyone or to get anyone to change the world, hell I don't believe you people can but if someone says change isn't possible then I shall tell them how it is possible regardless if I support it or not.
It is possible you'd be shocked how well someone will suck a dick with a gun to their head and then again you have those who would rather just be shot.

Car crashes and all that mess doesn't really bother me but when someone picks on someone weaker than them...then it bothers me.
I've never had to problem in my life of someone stronger than me picking on me but I've always had a issue with seeing others be a bully.

Hell I'd wish they would gang up on me like that..
I'd go out like a champion.

But the thing is, **** does happen. And moose is right, there is always something worse. I mean, don't get me wrong.. a death is a death.. but there are worse ways to die.. and there are worse ways to be alive.

Countries like that, are poor.. they have education but not much of it. If they had more money, and a better education system where they can learn about the rest of the world.. then there would be some change. But most people are too busy with their own lives to care for another.

I can totally understand why anything like this, wrongdoing, death in general, etc. bother people. It's probably better that some people care more about it than I do, because they're the people who would have the drive to do something about it. I'm just saying that I myself don't.
And apparently Mid too.

Now this was a weird dialogue...

Anyway, I can`t imagine a worse way to die...Like, burning up. It`s kinda quick...

When this video started the girl was already pretty f*cked up, which makes me think that it took quite a while to kill her.

Maybe there are more painful deaths, but no more horrendous act.

Ah, I gotta ask you guys something: In Korea the sell dead fetus` parts and brais for people to eat...Yeah, they eat fetus. It`s not like they take them from the mother to eat: they die from natural reasons and then they eat...it.

So, what you guys think (I`m not talking about gross or not)? This something terrible, offends something, some right...?

I`ll give my 2 cents later!

Kisses to Mid.

Pish a fetus isn't a human. There's still question if the thing even feels pain.

You're not quite alive until you begin forming thoughts, you're just "there".

As for this video? Crazy stuff, seriously crazy. I dread opening it from the descriptions. Humans can be a sick race when they want to.

I'm in a dual-religion relationship myself (her being Christian and me being Jewish) but none of us are religious... Nor are families mad.

Still, kinda gets you thinking. Human beings put so many barriers, seperating and fighting among us.

When Mars invades us we're going to get our *** kicked, seriously.
