I dunno then...I have a hard time doing things like continuing from where one person left off.

Thinking of plot twists are fun.
Why not try to add something?

Don't worry, I'm leaving the game off in such a way that there aren't really any events you have to continue, and you can basically be in any location you want. You chapter would probably be better if you coninue with the same theme as the rest of the game, but the game itself won't be completely ruined if you get sidetracked.

Basically, I'm not leading you into something really important like running into an enemy base. You can turn it into something cool and important if you want, if not, hopefully someone else will make something important to the story later on.

Edit: and if you don't really like working off of something/somewhere that someone left for you, working on a chain game isn't for you, because thats kinda the point of one...

Well it's like Dragonblaze said. The rules is do what ever you want, if you want a picture of a cheese spining around screaming "Alcohol!" then do that as long your not breaking any rules of charas like adding porno in the game.

Would anyone be intrested in making another chain game when this one is done?

Definitely. This is so much fun and since we're all pooling our time together, we're actually getting somewhere.

Would anyone have any objections if I went back and changed experiance points and such that the monsters give? The game was 'half' over when I got it, and the heros were only around 3 levels higher than they were at the begining of the game :p

Anyway, I'm half done with my section right now. Though the second half will take a lot longer cuz I need to code a bigger minigame and make more graphics (for the first I only had to make 3 poses and 4 monsters).

Actually, I have a weird Idea:

Somebody could start off by making the end of a game, then other creators would need to go back in the chronology of the game and make the rest of it!

That's a nice idea guys, isn't it? ....Mmmmyes...?

Yeah and only because I set them that way. They were only 1 level higher for me, and one character was messed up and started at level 1, which I had to fix. I think it'd be great if you fixed the experience stuff. I was going to but I was afraid to start messing with it.

And yeah Bluhman that sounds pretty cool. We'll call it the Charas Reverse Chain Game. :p

Sounds complicated, but it would be really cool, but only if it had a good ending. The problem I see with that though is no one can add characters to the game because all the characters in the game will be at the ending.

Mmm... Could work. It could be like if a character dies before the ending.

Ok, I finished revamping the battles. Most of the enemies give more experiance points. I gave enemies more life and upped their stats because of it. I also made the hero stats weaker. If a monster with 200 out of 999 attack can only do 80 damage to a level 11 hero with default equipment, somethigns wrong... I also tried making the battles a bit more interesting by giving the heros and monsters more skills. I didn't add any skills to the hero without any mp. So now heros can do something besides just attack.

Constantly bashing the spacebar to do little damage, and not getting much exp or anything to pay off for the battle isn't a good way to do it  :p

I tried making the battles harder by mainly giving the enemies more attack and skills, and not HP, (unless its a boss, in which case I didn't touch the skills).

As its set up now, heros will get 1 to 2 levels per chapter (a little more if they try to level up), and i made sure that more levels are needed to fight the enemies in later chapters.

I *started* to make my minigame, but I didn't get as much done as I wanted to yet. With any luck, I'll be able to upload this wednesday or friday.

I also suggest that after everyone has finished, we pass the project back through everyone for a day or two to finish any additional touchups they want. Especially with me redoing the battles, some people might want to edit their enemies to a way they like again. I also found a number of mistakes, including message errors that chop off text so it is unreadable. Anyway, cycling the project back through everyone will give everyone a chance to edit this one last time before its released.
