I have been undecided for a very long time. Obama's plan= spend, spend, spend! He would give bigger tax rebates, true, but how would that not be achieve through even more spending? I am in disagreement with McCain's policy on the war in Iraq, simply because I am opposed to war in general. However, I don't think Obama's plan for a quick retreat is much better. I am also against Obama's health care plans, and favor McCain's. Of course there are many issues but these are pretty big ones for me. I'm still undecided, I know I should have chosen someone by now, but I'm leaning towards Obama. I'm not really in favor of either candidate. I'm voting Joe the Plumber =P

I haven't really decided, but I'm leaning towards McCain. We really messed with Iraq, but just leaving quickly will screw it up even more. Plus McCain plans to give big tax breaks to these big companies, which is a GOOD thing because our economy is going to **** and if these big companies have more money, that means they can expand, buy stuff, and all this other stuff, which means more jobs and such.

But honestly, I procrastinate badly, and I haven't really done my research yet..

I saw that interview. McCain acted like a complete idiot and I just wanted to punch his lights out. He didn't even listen to anything Obama had to say, and his points were so badly put across that Obama had to explain them to the public. What the hell? I hope to god McCain doesn't get in...

So far, McCain hasn't done or said anything that wasn't an attack on Obama. I can't vote, but if I could, I'd vote Obama. Giving corporations money doesn't mean squat. If my Mom still gets her crap wage, she won't be able to afford getting sick.

Unfortunately, the whole 'voting' thing is whack in the U.S. I mean, why bother having people vote...if the Delegates will as well? That makes the population's vote utterly redundant.

Obama for the win, for me. Unfortunately, we all know that they'll assassinate him. He'll be targeted from day one....

Corporations without money go bankrupt or need to cut back spending = loss of jobs.
Corporations with money are able to expand and spend = more jobs.

It's simple economics...

It does NOT mean that the corporations will use that money to pay their employees more, but it will help the economy more as a whole.

I'm regrettably voting Obama... He seems to agree with what I agree in general, but I think it's a huge risk. Don't really want to discuss anymore.

That doesn't stop them from out-sourcing their jobs to another country--money or no, they'll do it.

Look at it this way--out of all the past recent presidents we've had since Regan, only Clinton wasn't a Fiscal Conservative. Regan and both Bush's left us in a defecit. Clinton left us with a surplus. You have to spend money to make money in this world, you know. You just have to know where to spend it.

I don't think you understand quite what a capitalist economy is. Companies thrive or die based on competition, promoting development and growth by better practices. The constant tax breaks given to companies by the current president and those promised by McCain basically take that and throw it out the window and baby their favorite failing companies while continuing to suck money from those who feel the pain of a bad economy - workers. Gas prices go up, food prices rise, everything costs more, and the common man is hurt, but the only people to get a break from their taxes are the millionaires who got us into this mess in the first place.

Also, Obama's plan for Iraq is a phased withdrawal, which is far from just "leaving quickly." McCain has famously said on multiple occasions that he will keep us in Iraq for as long as necessary, which isn't right; if we can't afford a war, why should we continue it? For how long?

I'd ask that you do a bit of research before just voting based on two issues.

Yeah I said I was gonna do more research...

On the economy thing, competition is a good thing, but giving corporations money doesn't take away from that.
Lets say a cell phone company has money to work with, they build more towers allowing more people to use their service, this means more money for them. This also gives the companies that build the towers more work, it also gives the construction workers more work. And if company A is building towers, company B would be encouraged to build more towers too in order to keep up. Now if both companies were taxed up the ***, they would have to try to make more money in other ways, which is hard to do in our economy right now. So no new towers are built, meaning a large chain of companies will have less work. This chain effect is seen a lot in economics.

And for the war, "as long as necessary" is a GOOD thing. As long we are required to be there in order for Iraq to be stable enough on its own is how long we should be there.

Not registered. Look at me change the world with my inaction. Hooray.

EDIT: Hey, lilsniffs, that test thingy came up with Obama. If I was registered, I planned on voting for him, so the thing's got at least some level of accuracy.

I came up almost straight Obama. Which makes sense, since based on what he's said, he seems to have good ideas.

What I'm afraid of personally is if he'll carry through with his ideas completely or not.

According to the test, I should vote for McCain. But that's because there were some things I wasn't too sure... I would probably vote for Obama if I had to, though. I don't know, I wouldn't like having someone who's been a prisoner of war for more than 5 years as president. I'm also opposed to that war thing.

I'd need to do some more research to be sure I'd vote for the  good person, though... but since I don't have to vote, well, I don't need to do any research. Yeah...
