Yup! First time in a long time somebody has made something of one of my characters (which are ALL originals XD). ^_^

Lol you'll have a hard time. Ed's a psychopathic killer and JP has a different biologic system now that he's an alien martial arts master. Seriously though if you want to beat Ed you just need to have an Original character that I like so much that I want to put it in Warped. To beat JP? You'd have to have created more than 17 (with battle character and Chara set) different characters with distinct personalities. This is literal a preview of all the characters he's created that are playable.

Every character facing south is made by him.

Only problem with making characters with personalities is I'm not actually making a game. I kinda learned -- after I started and re-started probably 20 RM2K projects when I was 14 -- that my attention span is no good for solo game-making. So the only emotion my sprites are ever going to show is in the sprites themselves.

Ha ha ha! I also made and destroyed many projects! I would mostly make stuff for the database, not being able to think of a plot for 2 or 3 years. But then I thought, maybe I should half-*** the plot, get on to the gameplay, being the most important thing, and make a plot later. Working well for me! That's an astounding Battlecharset, by the way!

I had a different problem, DD...my first step was always "Gather materials." So I'd try to go out and download every chipset and charset I needed, which was a lot of junk. Then I'd fumble my way through event-making, restarting the game over and over to make sure everything was perfect. By the time the first five minutes of the game were complete, I had come up with a much better idea.

I did toy with the idea of making an RM2K horror game, which still sounds kind of cool to me. I could make it pretty eerie, I tell you. Mindscrew stuff, fourth-wall breakage, references to real-life events....oh god, stop me.

I'd love to see yours when it's finished, Darkfox.

Thanks, I might introduce more characters eventually when I get my thread restarted. Entity III is the only protagonist of the Entity name. XD

As for mindscrew, my boss and character designs get pretty wacked and screwed up. XD

I love the new weapon sets. Don't burn yourself out on requests and stuff though; charas needs people like you to stick around :p

I do exactly the opposite of you
So far, I've written most of the story out, and am still tinkering around with the gameplay
But yeah Valiere...very class-A+ work

I was going to make a neat dagger weaponset, but it occurred to me that probably nobody is going to use it on account it's not RTP-friendly.

Then I started thinking about making a brand new battle charset template that could be added to the generator. It probably wouldn't be like my first battle charset...I'd probably make the body taller and leaner like my Sybel char.

Only thing is, I'd have to make all of the clothing and accessories. Sounds arrogant, I know, but I don't like the idea of the list of clothing and accessories for my template being cluttered with poorly-drawn items with flat color that don't flutter in the wind or anything cool. If I made a generated battle charset, it would need to not look at all generated.

I'm toying with this idea.

All right (sorry for the double posting), I'd like to get an idea of what the game-making community would possibly be interested in as far as another battle charset template for the generator. Something like this?

Yeah, the weapons will look huge for it, but it's sure different from the RTP.

Different indeed but more human and/or mature.
Most people usually complain about the RTP looking childish so this is great.
