I'm sorta the gen guy (I upload and update the resources) and I think it looks pretty good to have a set other than the default and FF style.

All right (sorry for the double posting), I'd like to get an idea of what the game-making community would possibly be interested in as far as another battle charset template for the generator. Something like this?

Yeah, the weapons will look huge for it, but it's sure different from the RTP.

*Drools* It's beutiful! Will it have a weapon set too? Also, are going to abadon you're first style?

Yeah, I'll taylor the weapons I made for it and make some more. And yeah, I'll probably abandon my first battle charset. There's way too many flaws since it was my first....the casting animation is kinda silly, the weapon-swinging animations aren't synchronized and the two-handed one is nigh-useless, and the running animation is flat-out awful. I'm going to try to make this new one perfect, with you guys' input of course.

Then I started thinking about making a brand new battle charset template that could be added to the generator. It probably wouldn't be like my first battle charset...I'd probably make the body taller and leaner like my Sybel char.

As long as you're comfortable with the fact that you'd be making all the resources for that template by yourself. It's been many years since the bchar generator came out and the number of available resources is still abysmally small. Most people don't have the skill to make resources that line up correctly, and those that do realize that a generated character set will never look as good as one custom created from the ground up.

Not trying to discourage you here, but I've watched that thing for a long time and submitted a few resources to it myself, but it went all sorts of nowhere comared to the normal charaset generator.

That's exactly what I'm trying to fix. I actually want to exclusively make things for this template, since I'd love for it all to work together in sync and for all the accessories to be of identical quality. It would take a while to make it truly customizable, yes, but I think it's worth trying to make the battle charset generator actually worth using.

We need a new one, but no one knows how to make one, do they? I thought I could do using Game maker, but now realise there's no way to do it like that.

Yeah the running animation was pretty bad, but i like the casting animation. I could probably improve your first version since I'm guy with almost no life and I have tons of time on my hands since all my relationships with women fail epically.

I only wish you were more honest with us, Fish.

But yeah, you can go wild with my first one.

Huh? What do you mean "honest?" I'm one of the most honest people you'll meet in this day and age in my opinion. Of course I'm a narcissist XD As for your first one I shall make it shine! Especialy when I redo my Legondo Rising characters to use it.

Maybe it's about time to restart that Charas therapy session topic...

I was making a joke. :P See, it's ironic since you just said something very brutally honest...

Yeah, sarcasm is hard to portray on the internet.

Perhaps, but I doubt it would help me. My problem is I;m content being a normal guy who wants to get married, but all the girls I date want to go off to college and think getting married is at 20 is wrong.

Ah, Sorry. I have a hard time discerning a person's mood on the Internet or in a text message.

I'm stumped about what to do about the victory pose. I've always made the victory poses in all my requests character-specific or at the very least gender-specific. I always hated the generic RTP cheers. I kind of wish I could make several different victory poses to choose from, but that seems impractical. Any suggestions for what most people think looks cool?

Of course there'll be hair blowing in the wind. I have my little motifs.

Your motifs own. :3

Hm... for males, arms folded is kinda normal (which btw fits well with E3, he does it alot XD) on the other hand guys also tend to throw their arms out in some way or other too, like around where I live, to express victory or accomplishment.

The different victory poses is one of the reasons why the generator doesn't work.
Because the layer with the clothing, hair and and stuff was made for one pose and not every.

Just saying.
