And there is no reason to not have magic in some form. After all, its a game.

You can have gears imbued with souls like Valiere suggested.

And that professor is looking mighty fine Gemini. I'm glad some people are using some classic weapons. Saves us the trouble to come up with different acronyms for the word "steam gun" or so.
Or we could just make all the characters with steam-weapons share the same weapons of course. Like steam engines or something.
Fish, Hobo and Rahl can all equip "Steam core", "empowered steam core." Okay, just coming up with two was hard enough. Just a suggestion though.

Anyway, we can have magic. But I suppose we should make magic the be result of a machine/trinket or a chemical liquid you drink or stuff. Or something like in Bioshock. Just another thought.
I'll stick to alchemy and machinery though. To make it a bit more steamy.

Anyway, gonna write some stuff together and get that new thread open.

Automatons imbued with the souls of the dead.

Bingo. I have two characters that are machines but have a phylactery (an item, in this case a gem, that contains a soul) to power them. That could work in steampunk. Also steampunk IS a form of old sci-fi (think Frankenstein and the time machine) AND a form of fantasy afterall. Magic still works, just not the same as per normal fantasy. Well, not completely anyways.

The spear is piston driven, there is a small gauge on it and there wil be a special attack where you shoot a blast of steam.
I don't know about his style i wanted more of a street guy, not all dressed up

The pistols I plan to use harbor more a slingshot/pullback method. Hopefully, that's ok.

Photoshop? I don't have photoshop. I've been using MS paint since I knew how.
You don't need anything but paint. Photoshop, gimp and so on is just for people who want faster results.
