Schala made my nerdy side surface

So a few days ago I go visit this girl I know at her school. We're hanging out in her dorm room just talking and such, and then she turns on some music from her macbook. About 10 seconds later I hear something I haven't heard in quite awhile. It was a rap song by Wiz Khalifa but in the background was a recognizable melody from my past! Could it have been... it was! Schala's theme from good ole' Chrono Trigger was used in a modern rap song. I wasn't exactly sure how I felt about this, but without even thinking I sorta was like "Holy ****! This is from Chrono Trigger!" She didn't know what I was talking about, but I confessed my teenage love of CT and RPGs and she more or less called me a huge geeky loser.. and then she went off about her inner geeky side, and then we started making out, and immediately had sex afterword. Regardless of the fact I was visiting her with the intention of doing so anyway, I thought it was hilarious that the Zeal Princess was my wing girl in this situation. And that someone rapped over Schala's theme.

I can't remember if most people here are more open about their nerdy side or not, but does anyone else have a story where the inner nerd allowed for a positive result in outside social interaction?

I made most of my geeky friends by revealing my geeky side. Does that make me a bad person?
I remember the map name of some red alert map giving me a nerd friend. And then there was some doodles in my text book and stuff like that. It made them peoples open up the inner nerd and join the nerd party.

Yes. Hanging around other nerds got me access into the computer labs during lunch in school. Many Diablo II orgies ensued.

Okay, so I listened to the Wiz Khalifa song. I'm deeply, deeply conflicted. On one hand, it's rap and rap universally blows and this rap isn't all that different. On the other hand, this is SO OBVIOUSLY a Schala theme homage that that instantly makes this guy a stone-cold bassass. He's get props for putting in a recognizable video game theme at all, even more for having an old school SNES RPG, and mad mad props for picking a Chrono Trigger song and one of the best insturmentals in video game history.

I mean, damn. If I ever saw this guy, I'd hand him like fifty bucks and say "This is for being awesome."

A character in the game unless I'm completely screwed. The princess of the floating country, brother of Janus and daughter of Queen Zeal. Was planned to be a playable character or something but it was scrapped.

And yes. Yes you should.

• No random battles
• Simple, yet cool characters
• Holycrap awesome soundtrack
• Respectable plot
• Intuitive, easy battle system with cool bonuses like multi techs and ****
• Multiple endings

Play it stoopid.

Yeah, she's a late game character. She has that chill theme, is apparently one of the strongest magic users in CT's history, and is nothing but kind, sweet, and awesome to your party. The entire point of Chrono Cross, Trigger's sequel, is to deal with what happens to Schala. That's how much of a fan fav she was.

But play CT for the music if nothing else. I mean, the game's fun, fast, and enjoyable, but it has one of the hands-down best soundtracks in video game history. There's a reason Zeal and Schala's themes get remixed so much.

And you know, there is a remake for DS. And you know, I think I'll get it as well. I've already beat the game a few times, but well, at least I have an excuse; the DS has a new ending! And I never actually got them all... so yeah. Definitely.
