So I replayed it and found no problem, also I didn't find any space whales. Drago can be found behind the green robot thing at the "entrance" of janus station if that's the one you're looking for.

The space whales are random encounters. They destroy me every time.

You're probably having the same problem I did. You have to change some variables, I can't remember which. An event should trigger the moment you enter the station, so go into the game, find the event in that entrance map and make the changes. Then we have to figure out how to actually fix it...

I test played it and had no issue, however, it seems like a small area have space whale encounters. So you should avoid those.

Prpl, are you testing it out with a new save or old save?  It might be somewhere along the lines the variable got changed and so an old save works and a new one doesn't.

Since it's in the beginning of the game I started a new one of course.
But Dren hasn't really said what the issue is, so it's hard to know if it is the same variable problem that happened before or if he just missed where he needs to go.

Yeah, I had the same problem with Drago never showing up when I played the early version prpl sent to me. Think I went in the project and messed around with some stuff to bring him up.

Back before my RPG maker broke down I had that problem myself and even though I made the event I can't tell you why. It seemed to be setting the value to like fourteen for some reason instead of the right amount. Probably has to do with me tweaking it so you could go outside the station and get more money and EXP. ^^; I made it so the variable would be set to like two after it resolved so you wouldn't see that scene again and again.

Really?! You must have leveled slow or be heavily skill dependent then. I mean the most powerful thing is they use Wail to silience you like their ocean dwelling cousins and it hits everything with medium range damage but surely with Bandit's Mine Field skill you've confused or stunned it long enough to power up Ixion's Shooting Star to max yes? One of the basic strategies I programed into them. But the Wails are bonus and only confined to one square really and mostly to guard that chest if I remember right....If they're too strong feel free to mess with 'em. I mostly did it as a joke/tribute to Prpl's awesome boss. ^_^

Sorry about that, I made it past that hiccup and I've finished the game. More on this later.

Edit: so i managed to finish my intro. I have an idea where I want to go with my chapter. Its amazing, usually Ive given up at this point. Im typing on my phone as I dont have internet right now, so its hard to go into detail as charas. Is not mobile friendly
