New forum theme up and running!
Christ, I hate you all.I evidently can't do anything right.
I honestly don't know if I want to continue working on the outdoor chip. I'll wait a few days and see. It's hours and hours of hard work and careful detail for a tepid response. And I have no idea if anyone even wants to use this chip for the chain game. Only Fish has really embraced that idea. If people were specifically requesting items for me to add to the chip, I would appreciate that greatly, but the fact that they aren't suggests to me that this chip is just going to be ignored.I'm ranting now, but I want to get this out. People rip and recolor professional work and get showered with praise. But put in the massive effort to try to bring something new to the RM2K community, and.....nobody cares. Nobody cares that you spent 24 hours going pixel by pixel. There is no incentive for original artists to make anything new. Why should I bother?
There definitely are edges. The edges are simply a darker shade than the interior color. If you want to get all realistic, and I know you do because you bitched about the perspective, black outlines don't actually exist in real life.
I didn't want it to be realistic, just consistent. I'd prefer if you had no perspective and black outlines and it looked good.Sorry if I'm ignoring your grueling hours of pixel, but I thought you wanted some criticism.Excellent job for a newbie, I'd say.
black outlines don't actually exist in real life.
Your opinion on the perspective is more than a mite questionable as well. A rectangular top of a bookcase doesn't exist unless you're looking down from directly above it. You're basically asking me to replace a view that's right from only one angle with a view that's wrong from every angle.//That's just what I prefer. You like "realism" and I don't.And I find calling me a newbie patronizing. I'm striving for something that's up to speed with most other chipsets out there. A newbie wouldn't even bother with something as complex and taxing as a chipset.
Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan I missed you.
Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaan I missed that welcome.
