Meis you interested in doing some maps for my mobile games? O course you will get credits, probably as much as i will. Im doing the source code. We can take it through PM if you'd like.

Because i was about to post another part of my map on the road but something went boomshine with it. And i just took it up.

Im posting a new screen.


Its made with a chipset I just made.

The only non-origonal thing in it is the rockface, which is heavily edited RTP.


I tried making a script for changing the Sprite size for the intent of a 3-d/perspective effect.
It didnt work.

I tried using a script somebody else made.
It sucked.

Im doing the perspectives though mutiple sprite sizes and on-map events.


This screen illustrates all of this.
The one where David is far away, I couldve stood to make the sprite smaller, but this gives the effect.

I still have a little bit of tweaking to do, but  I figured Id post for the sake of input.

Funny you should say that, Ive been working on it today.

Actually, Im nixing the shadow tiles, and making the white borders one consistent color, and making that white-ish line the new transperancy shade.....so it blends better, while leaving the whoarfrost-look to it.


Here is a quick screen of the batttle.
Im still trying to figure out how to script the DBS differently.
The DBS is used in only a few small  parts, the most of the battle is in the SBABS from my eartlier posts.

But the DBS plays out comic book ish.

Im still trying to find out how to change the font color to dark brown, and the in-battle font to Comic Sans MS, to fit the rest of the game.


Here it is though.

The hero is shown in one outfit. There are a few used.

I guess I may just be too new to really develop a critical eye, but I'm really impressed with what Gemini's got so far. The comic book style battles are unique as far as I know, and the map project is extremely ambitious and looking like he may just pull it off.

I've got a humble offering of my own. I'm trying to do a sort of modern setting game, so things SHOULD look a little less natural and alive, but I need to strike a balance. (Raises shields and readies for a midlife crisis inciting criticism)


I've got some of my battle stuff in the game topic. It's not that good, fairly standard DBS with a little bit of weirdness. Custom monsters is about the best thing I have going.

To PHZ: You may want to find better chipsets, I know there aren't many, but there's gotta be something better than that. You may want to consider even putting together youro wn chipsets from pieces of other chipsets, just remember to match the style.

To Gem: Dear lord! That's an awesome battle screen. When you attack will it say stuff like "Kablam!" lol, that'd be pretty nifty.

Im glad you like it dren.

Im not quite using "Kablam" perse...expletives are a bit too marvel for what Im going for. But I imagine it is unavoidable in some of the attacks.

Ive got a new battle screen with the attack animations I made last night.

Ill post them.

Hopefully Tonight Ill be able to get another monster made, with animations, and perhaps even a new special attack. Every weapon and Monster has their own set of animations. I want no generics here.

But uh.....here it is.

Im almost done editing my winter chips. I got rid of the white lines, and Am trying to find a way to add definition whilst keeping a congruent style.

Ill post that when its ready too. Stupid dial up....takes me 5 minutes to upload these things. 28 kb/s is the suck.
