I really like that water cave. Your maps kinda give off a haunted feel, but not horror, if that's what you're going for.

I gotta complain about those windows in the second pic though. Kinda makes me wonder if it's all window and no wall.

Exactly what I was working towards.

I can see what you mean about the windows. It's supposed to be a surreal WTF room where the sword is. I forgot the castle is underwater. I'll do something about it eventually.

But it looks waaaaay better than anything I'll ever make in my lifetime.

Anyway, here's a random map of my game.

It wasn't really supposed to be evil looking or scary. I just trying to get that Ico feeling (Disney movie, yet ominous). Now that I think about it, I can't really see anything either. I'm putting more sunshine and stuff in it. I want your mom to play. :(

For your town I wanna see the people and stuff, but it does look nice.

I'd use larger cars if I could find any. That look decent. Besides, I'm not skilled enough to make multi-tile cars yet. Or maybe too lazy.

Actually, I did find a matching charset for cars, but it was done in a more chipset fashion, with the different parts of the car being put in 16x16 tiles of charset instead of a more effective 16x32 tile. In addition to that, they were old-world cars, like Volkswagen's and freight trucks.

The chips were made by the VERY talented guy at Teddy Plaza. His works include very accurate medieval towns, 20's era cities, modern cities, mansions, caves, and other dribs and drabs. Sadly, you can't find them on his website; he's moved on to making drawings of silly anime girls, and single sprites that could possibly be used in RPG maker if it weren't for the fact they weren't in a set. His work can be found in various places. PhanxGames has a bit of them, while you can get a complete set from a thread in Gaming World.

Meh, been awhile from the last screen posted.

I'm bored with my project while people are beta testing, so I'm screwing around with my old side scrolling stuff that I made awhile ago. Like? The bottom is cut off because I don't know what to put down there yet :P

It looks sweet meis. It would look sweeter if it was a multi toned sky...Like dusk or dawn...So warm colours in the sky would give it a gnarly feel. Just my advice.

Yea, probably.

You'll have to tell us all how you did that eventually.

I'd rather you find some better panoramas Meis, but it does look cool. It reminds me of Bahamut Lagoon for some reason.

I've barely been touching Reminiscence...and I ended up messing with the menu and the title screen.

Don't know what to do about the facesets. I think I'm gonna try a CBS. I'll have screens on that eventually. The game is no longer isometric. I ended up having too much "Asian" stuff, and I'm staving what I've got for something else.  :|

I think I liked the old menu better, with the FF12 images in the background.
