New screenshots from my game!

This is part of the intro. It looks cool when it's all animated because the book pages are flipping and the candles are flickering and the guy in the middle is hovering and stuff k.

Also part of the intro. This takes place in a Church k.

Alright so one of the bad guys comes out of the wall and starts to mess with the dreams of the protagonist. Scary!

Just some charsets I'm working on.

Comments? Anybody? I'll take anything. ;)

no comments about mine...
I made my own chipset today using two RTP sets and a music hall set...  does this church look ok?  The raised area is a place oh healing.
The guy sitting at the organ is mourning his Fiance's death that happened five years before. (it is the anniversary of her death)
The song playing is actually perfect for the scene because it makes it seem as if the guy is actually playing the organ.
Look at the last page and tell me about my other screenshots!

You know, you can go to a site like Imageshack.us or Photobucket or some other image uploading site so you don't have to triple post and attach an image in each post. Most of the image uploading sites should give you the code for putting it on a forum (Hotlinking for forums), you just need to copy and paste that into your post.

I really like the organ in the Church screen, but aside from that, it kinda doesn't look much like a Church. However, it does look practical, since it's small.

Yeah, I know.  I didn't make the organ unfortunately.  I just put it into the chipset.  Which is better, the one with the outside or the one without?

I think the grass is kinda distracting, I like it better without. However, it could work if all the buildings show the outside as well. I think there should be more to the outside than just plain grass, it should reflect what's actually outside.

Screen of my current project: The purple shells have been replaced since then, and some other minor changes, but nothing major for this area.

It looks like it was made around the time I was born! lol.  I'm not one for maps, but the squared grass area in the bottom left  corner is a bit too... square.  I am probably a procrastinator right now, but you might want to change that.  And the one side of that one thing thats in the water at the bottom its squared off. (I feel really stupid for not remembering what they're called)  I really like your bridge, it looks really good.  Other than those two things, I really like it :).  You said you made changes, can you show the new map?

It only looks square from where I took the screen, it's actually not a square patch of grass. However, I changed it a little bit anyway. Here's the current version.

There's a touch encounter system rather than a random encounter one, so you have the enemy sprites on screen as well. Here, it's flying fish. Also, I have a different character in front this time, you make the characters like in FF1, but you can also choose their gender.

I think someone is going to mention it, so I might as well say it now. The tree and the vine decorations on the battle screen are in every battle background, it's like a frame. The thing that changes is the top bar depending on your location.

That looks better!  That battle thing seems wierd, but I like it at the same time.  (I am confusing myself here) it looks really good.  those characters do look ff1-ish!     thats it from me.

Forgotten Legend: Looks good. I like the fact that the store interior doesn't actually teloport you to a seperate map.

What I find largely ironic is that no-one ever comments on the people that are actually GOOD at making maps.

Oceans Dream: Nice. I've seen a bit of your stuff at GW and LCG, so I know that those custom tiles. They look real great, and capture the classic look well.

Zatham: Looks good as well. Only problem I've got is the number of chipset types. Might seem odd to see those several different types and styles in one game:p Also, could you post that cross in the second screen? I don't think I've ever seen that before.

A Forgotten Legend: I think people are just humoring you. Honestly, not only do your choices of graphics stink (original RTP, which is ok for getting used to the maker or just making random crap), but you're mapping could use alot of work as well. Read a tutorial or something. Because of the vocab and writing styles I've seen you use, I do believe you are around as old as you claim, but at such an age you should be able to tell yourself that nobody is impressed by a day/night system where all you do is change the screen tint.
