Try using more colors and less black. It can really do some wonders! Unless of course you're going for that style, in which case, more colors might still be a good idea. Along with less mottling like fruckert said. It looks pretty good for a first shot. I especially like the direction the tree is going.

EDIT: Just noticed you didn't use any black in the background. =P

Yeah, there is no black in the background. haha

I'm think I have an idea to get a little simpler, and thanks for the tree. haha, that was the part I'm most worried about.  That and the water on the edge...

I actually said that to one of my friends after I finished the grass.  I'm not sure if it's quite the style I wanted, but its closer than what I've got from other sites.

I'd personally just lace is with a few shrubs here and there to give it character.

Well, I couldn't make them too big, or else I'd have nowhere to put the enemy. o.o

This is based off a map at the beginning of the game.

They just look awkward next to that massive bird. The trunk of the tree looks about the right size, but the leaves and its canopy don't seem to match, they're just too small. Both might work well with different parts. Give that trunk a larger canopy and give that small bundle of leaves a small trunk.

The trees are about the same height as that character and smaller than the bird. It's kinda awkward. So some kind of heightening would be neato.

Oh and also, do a John Bauer if you can't get the trees right - just make the trunks of the trees and never the leafs and stuff.

Some more incomplete Dun Loireag!

Still working on those statues. There's something abut them I really don't like... But I'll get it fixed!

Nice, nice. The statues are just to white. Try to use some gray on it.

This is the title screen.

[spoiler]Novo jogo = New game
Carregar = Load game
Opções = Options
Extras = Extras
Sair = Close

Modo História = Story Mode
Modo Online = Online Mode
Modo Treino = Training Mode

This was a small test with a menu of language. I've replaced it for a option in Options Menu of the title screen.

This is a screenshot in-game of the 80s part of the game. Actually, it is also the intro.

Is that in C++ or AGM?  Looks pretty spiffy.

You should make a topic.
I'm interested in it, especially seeing as how from the "80s part of the game", I'm assuming it's traveling through the various stages of an outbreak.

Hey guys, thought I'd show you the progress I've made with that desert map.  It's pretty much done, aside from more events that I have to put in.  What do you guys think?  Also, I posted the first 2 screens to show you my progression.  Thoughts?

Ok, the current one DEFINITELY gives the "thriving bustling oasis city" feel. Good job!

I like the larger abundance of trees.
Much, much, much better job.
