That row where the trophy is reserved for up to 5 optional collectibles so I lose a bit of real estate there. If you don't get platinum, instead of saying "Perfect!" it tells you the moves you need for the next highest rank.

Any quick thoughts? I'm a hack for design and I have a 20 picture max here (this uses 17) so I'm aiming for functional and easy to read with a spice of not looking like total garbage.

Purely visual: I'd suggest darkening the green background and upping the saturation on the text in those graphics, as well as adding some dithering to the shading on the star to make it blend a bit better and look less pillow-shaded.

I think the layout is fine, however.
I'd go with Phayre's suggestion though.

It's hard finding a good font which looks nice in RPG Maker. When upscaled and now antialiased,
they all tend to look a bit ugly. I'd recommend using the Fixedsys, Smallfonts and Tahoma fonts
when dealing with sprites. They tend to retain their gorgeousness even when blown up!

With the darker green background you might poooossibly want to outline some stuff.  I dunno, what do you think of the medal?

I am working on 2 games, the first one is the one I posted, this one is going to be a puzzle, exploration type of game. I wanted to see how the map itself looks for the side scrolling type of view.

Don't really care for the outline, I'm sorry to say. But the rest of my screen looks like that, darker colors and text shadows and all.

Also, shot from one of the boss battles:

A picture of the game that deleted from my files. This is a remade version, and the actual house will take up 500 by 500 on the map. Many  rooms, upstairs and down stairs will actually be on one map. This is a super small part of it. The Guest Room.

The small room isn't that bad because its very condensed, and there isn't much room for anything else.  But the hallway is pretty empty.  Objects like some old armor, paintings, potted plants, rugs, etc. are a good idea.

Well I'll have to have a few rooms empty. If I start to clutter it up room by room it'll just look thrown together. It is gonna be a very BIG map for the mansion.
There are gonna be like 3 different maps, with rooms all over each map. You'll only be able to access 1 from the start of the game, and then as it progresses you'll venture into the other maps with new characters as by the time you can reach it, the character you start out with is now the main villain.

Maybe just make the hallway smaller then?  It just looks really empty.  In a mansion there is stuff everywhere, isn't there?
