Well wasn't 2 weeks what we said when we started this?

I suppose we need to set stricter rules for future games to be able to keep such deadlines though.
- 3 days to play through the game
- 2 weeks to create your chapter
- No more than 3 treasure chest
- No more than 1 new character
- 1 new weapon for all characters, and at least 1 new armor piece of all types (shield, helm, armor, accessory)
- At least 1 boss battle

I do agree with deadline. There is just no good way to reinforce them, you could kick them off if they go over I guess. But it's not like there is a high demand on the chapters, this one isn't even filled yet. So you would either end up with a really short game or no game at all.

I can agree on limiting the number of heroes you can add. It's kinda lame when the whole party is filled after chapter 2. And the party swapping system hasn't worked that well in any chain game yet, cause there is no good way to access it. And making a custom menu system or something like that for a chain game would just be a hassle.

Don't really see the need of putting a rule on how many treasure chest, items and bosses etc. you need to put in your chapter though. If you want to limit their scope of their chapter, I guess you could put a limit on the playtime of their chapter. Like it max have to be 20 min, but that also gets hard to measure if you do something puzzle base.

Nah I just meant that we need to set strict rules if we ever want to hold a strict deadline.

And I don't think that is the ambition any more.

Well, my chapter is a ****ing mess. Lesson learned, stick with something I can finish over a weekend. I'm uploading it now. I'll pm it to people when it's up.

I'm using the steam version, but I'll keep that in mind.  So, I'll try to play through this a bit this week.  I missed school yesterday, so I have a bunch of paperwork and assignments to get to students.  Hopefully I'll at least have finished the game this weekend!

Also... I'm not the one who needs to make the ending right?  'Cause...  that might not be the best idea. Haha

Actually if somebody will take one or more chapters after AFL I WILL make the end chapter. I decided I may as well end it but I would like a little more story between now and then. Also I think we need to make a place to discuss some after-game or mid game options we may wish to add to the final product and what all we wish to cut or correct this go around.

Somewhere in chapter 2 two things happened..  I can no longer access the menu and the message box changed to transparent center.  Also Fish, that beginning made me really annoyed.  Mostly because I lost so much INT that I am left with 1 INT...

Yeah that happens several places in the game.. Also in chapter 4, there are no save points, you can't access the menu, and while I think you were supposed to have the whole party with you, you only had Juno. I placed "cheat ghosts" throughout the game that enabled saving and the menu (and gave me some gold and items..), but I removed them before I passed the game on. I recommend doing that in chapters 2 , 3, and 4 in some common areas.

I wouldn't mind doing another chapter if someone else goes after AFL. I don't want to do two chapters so close together. My schedule is pretty open until the end of December, and this time around, I would only focus on the story instead of custom systems, so it won't take me so long.

Hell Yeah! Just recovered all my old rm2k/3 games from my 10 year old, broken laptop hard drive that had been formatted and had a new OS installed on it. Oh, and I did all of this from my phone. WIN

Edit: [spoiler]Naming the ship Big_Red_Dick was a great life choice with some of Juno's dialogue.

I seriously am getting tired of these missles... I'm at my tenth attempt.[/spoiler]

Ehm yeah that part may be too difficult. Also the sections after that part get harder.. Here's how to cheat with that system.

For the missiles, go to common event 1036: generateEntity. In the first conditional branch, the one with a comment "missile", there is a variable option setting Temp 1 Y Vel = 20. Go ahead and set it to 10 or 5 to slow them down. Just don't set them to 0 because the missiles are generated off screen and if they have no velocity, they will never come on screen. Generally my strategy is to shoot them from the side, and if I miss one, get behind it and chase it.

For everything else, I created a special set a variable meant to boost the ship stats. These variables are 941 through 950. So you can boost the max shields, max hull, and damage to be really high. You can also boost the acceleration, max speed, radar range, break (how quickly the ship comes to stop) etc. These boost variables are added onto the base stats when the system is initialized, so just make sure to set them before the missile scene starts. Or if you want to just modify the stats as you're playing, all of the player stats are variables 1081 - 1100.

Yeah I tried testing it on a Windows Surface computer and it did lag a fair amount. If you go to common event 1000, at the very top there is a graphic setting variable. If it is set to 0, set it to 1. Or if that doesn't work, you can try setting it to 2. Essentially 0 will wait .1 seconds before the main loop, 1 will wait .2 seconds, and 2 will wait .3 seconds. The pictures still move nicely because the rm2k3 engine still will move them, but the system will run a bit sluggish because there is a noticeable delay in input/updates.

I think the 0 setting will work fine for most computers, but the mobile/tablet processors can't quite handle it. If you do set the graphic setting to 1 or 2, try to set it back to 0 before you pass it on.

XD I'm sorry but that makes me laugh so hard. Okay I must agree that one is annoying. ^^; I intend to go back and make it reward INT for getting it right although if you feel you were slighted start again, use the Cheat Shop and go through again faster or look at what switches are needed and trigger them using the debug menu. Nothing says you have to play fair to get through. ^_-

XD Yeah Juno's dialogue is a bit rough. Again when I made her I didn't want her to be a Terra of FF6 tough but soft spoken, or a Tifa with cheery dialogue and not much cursing or roughness presented.I wanted a practical tough heroine who wasn't that soft. Now admittedly I didn't intend for her to be cursing and spitting all throughout the game but still we'll save it for the Story Google Doc I'm working to make right now and add it to the "Clean Up Phase" of the game.

That being said those missiles were murder. XD I had to keep replenishing my health and shields and max out my shot's power using cheats to get past them and even then it took days. @-@
