Well the most I spent time on was doing a bit of extra resources, but most of them are just re-colours to be fair. I Have spent an entire week procrastinating as well, and another one figuring out what style I was going for, so out of the three week I had the game, I effectively worked on it only a week. I'm afraid the chapter won't be so long compared to the two others, but who knows, maybe the puzzles will be more complicated than I thought :)
Graphics-wise I have to do the intro, and some faces (although I might drop some faces for non-important characters). Other than that, just eventing.

@Fish: don't worry about it too much, there's already plenty of characters to do, and I found everything I wanted so far. :)

Well I did say in my post in the message room to maybe only use facesets during 'cutscenes' and to minimize using them outside of big cinematics and such unless it's liek the save points and stuff. ^_^; Come to think of it I should have made call events for those. Would have been easier on the player. I am glad you found plenty of useful resources and don't need any and hey if your chapter is short but sweet no worries. The Chain games haven't always featured constantly unfolding chapters in the past and we are trying an experiment to see if we can beat the calendar this year after all. I worried I added too much potential story but I am terrible at writing something small. Still at least the point A to B setup I used was the smallest in my Chain Game career and mostly worked better than previous models, even Juno! X3 So a small mile stone can in fact be counted quite well. Quality over qaunity. I'll be honest though I kinda wish this story wouldn't end. It's really oddly so....empathic. It feels warm and yet with tinge of dark tone that suits it's Indie game look. Plus ya gotta love that party! <3

Sounds good, Donut. No one is expecting you to put your life on hold for this. Just make what you can, have fun with it and length doesn't really matter.

Ok. So it's official, I hate computer.

Bad news, for some unknown reasons, Windows 10 decided that RM2k3 was a threat to the computer, and refuses to launch it again. I thought I managed to solve that by reinstalling RM2k3, it solved it for 30 seconds. Any exceptions on my firewall, antivirus or anything hasn't done any sh*t, so I can't finish the last few things I wanted to do. And since now I'm unemployed, I have no work computer to be able to deal with it.
Fortunately, I almost finished my chapter, as I have one common event to write (which is like a minimap and teleportations), remake a picture, add sounds, and I was planning a less abrupt ending scene. I can easily add the remade picture and sounds in the folder without going through the software, but I cannot do that last common event nor change the ending. So I'm stuck there. I can easily describe what was the plan (where to put the sounds, what was going to be the last sequence (I can actually just ditch that and make it more cliffhangy that way), how the minimap was working, and give a walkthrough for testing), make the image for the minimap bit, but i think that's about it :'(

Now I'd like to know WHY computers HATE ME SO MUCH?
I'm so very sorry, I am so tired of all those computer bullsh*t

I think this chain game might be cursed.

Have you updated to the latest version of rpg maker? Cause it seems other people been having the same issue with it. There's no way to like white list it in the anti virus program or temporary turn the anti virus off while you work on it?

If not, send it to me and I'll see if I can do the last things for you.

No, I haven't, I have used the unofficial version and 1.10. Both come with the problem. The official version doesn't have updates for the standalone version so I can't try on 1.11 or 1.12.
I've tried white listing, and w10 refuses me to turn off the antivirus - actually w10 has a built-in antimalware that it doesn't allow me to turn off either. I have literally no idea how to fix it. I remember it happening on my old w7 laptop, but I don't remember what happened after.

Let me finish the choice of music, and the pictures and I'll write stg on how i planned the last few bits. Sorry about that.

Donuts chapter is done and I've sent the game to Moose.

Also took some extra time to try and balance the fights a bit in chapter 1. Fish, I had to change some of the resistances you had set up. Cause Joel was completely immune arcane damage while Sam took 3x the damage. Since most enemies in chapter 1 uses arcane attack it kinda messed up all the fights. Also I'm not sure if those elemental multipliers might be a bit too high, I had a really hard time trying to balance around it, cause either you did waaay too much damage or you did waaaay too little. But I didn't want to change them in fear of breaking your chapter.

Game received! :)

I'll do my best to be snappy with this, and keep you updated. I'll have some free time over the next few days so I'lll certainly be able to play through at the very least. I actually know barely anything about the game so I'm quite excited!

I ended up biting the bullet and buying the steam rm2k3 rather than shoving all the rtp in the files like I did last time.

So far so good! By which I mean I played Momeka's unbelievably awesome, I've payed money for worse games chapter. I especially love the secret spellbook, and the opening sequence.

I was a little way into Fish's chapter but innocently wandered into some water and got an instant game over, and since it'd been so long since I'd saved I ragequit : p I'll get back on it in a bit; I have today off work.

There are a few irritating bugs I might fix, whilst I'm here.

But yeah, opening, setting, the feel of the game, amazing.

UPDATE:

Ok, Fish. The fish are insanely strong. Please can I make them weaker? You've made it clear that you're supposed to fight them to get treasure but I've never been able to defeat a single one.

Something to note, there's a limit to how much text you can have in a message box that's not reflected in the actual limits in the editor. If you like, I can go through and try to sort out the dialogue where the text cuts off, because half the stuff you've written cuts off and you can't actually read the last word or two.

EDIT EDIT: Also requesting permission to make the log pirates weaker. How high were your characters levels when you could beat them? I can't actually imagine a player ever managing to do it on any reasonable level. Or are they just supposed to be completely unbeatable?

EDIT EDIT EDIT: OK! I've played the game all the way through!  I like the setting of your chapter Donut, though I admit I had to cheat a few times to work out what to do.

I can honestly say I have no idea what to do next :S I'll give it some thought and tell you if I'm struggling... Oh yeah one more thing Fish I think there needs to be the ability to retreat from your puzzle room and go back, as the player has just come from a lot of battles and has no option to heal. I had one KO party member and one poisoned on 1HP, and I basically had to hold down ctrl as there was no possible way to heal. I did like the crystal puzzle overall though, I thought it was neat.

Anyway cool work everyone and I'll see what I can do!

@Red
Change whatever you need to! We always have a backup in case you break my chapter. That's how I managed not to break yours after all.

XD Oh that water trap. I really should have added a teleport event. The Fish are only super strong if you let them multiply. Really you don't even need that treasure but if I remember right there's a super quick way to beat them like most of my enemies.  Lemme put down Skyrim and take a look at it and see if I can find it and PM it to you. The Log Pirates beat you??? o-o; They weren't meant to be so tough. I was around level nine I think. I did have most of my best gear or at least a good strategy. But feel free to knock them down a 'peg' or two. ^_-

Yeah it's cause I had to stop using the TES. =/ Couldn't figure out how to have enemies moving and keep my Crystal puzzle in tact too, and as you noted it was one of my best yet right? I was, and still continue to be, proud of that thing. I did latter think about how in Brave Fencer Musashi sometimes an Ooze would drop on the player from above and of adding rocks that seem to stay still until you hit a certain tile then they come to life and jump at you using the movement style Purps had the Spidoids use in JO. Alas it was already in Donut's hands when I realized these wonderful ways to tweak the TES. -.-;

As for not healing feel free to add another healing skill but Joel and Naomi both have at least one and I had TONS of healing items I left in place in my chapter. I think I had medical and food for sure.
