As far as creationism and evolution go, I have to say, both are perfectly acceptable beliefs. We can believe evolution because of fossils and such that have been found. We can beleive creationism because of the simple infitnate thought behind it. Okay, we were evolved from single cells, the cells came from heat and such in the planet, the planet was created by the big bang... Now what created the materials used in the big bang? What created that which created the materials if the big bang? What created that which created what created the bing bang? It just goes on inifnately, and I personally think there's no problem ine believing both theories.

People constantly say how the seven days theory is a metaphor, well, why can't man and the garden of eden be a metaphor? Is it possible that the only reason it is said that "God created man" is because at the time saying "God created a microscopic lifeform that we can't see or hear or taste or smell and won't be able to even know of for 1000's of years" was harder to believe? You betcha.

Beat me too it MrMister.

Edit.
I think a person can believe in both Evolution and Intelligent Design. Sure they contradict a bit, but there is evidence in the bible for Evolution too.

How, explain it to me. You don't have to believe every aspect of everything, for blind faith is just proof of ignorance. I believe that we evolved from something, but I believe God made whatever it was we evolved from, and as I said, even if you believe there is no God and believe in something such as the big bang, tell me, where did that which created the big bang come from? No matter how far back you go, you have the question of "What created that?" I believe that at the end of the chain there is God. God wasn't created, nothing made God, he simply is. God, to me, is absolute.

you can belive in intelegent disign and evolution just not biblical or any other religion like that and evolution at the same time, and can you please point out to me were in the bible there is evidence for evolution

ZKX evolution has many flaws like ones you stated but, you can beileve what ever you want but if its not true there will be flaws. Blind faith is also something that is sometimes necisary for things that can not be proven, it matters what kind of "God" you believe in, but the biblical God it states He created man in his image. And yeah i agree that God wasn't created.

What he means is that the bible didn't mention evolution because the people of the time were too stupid to make anything of it. It dumbed the truth down for them to understand.

You could confirm that with, "I was saying that was my opinion, not that it was fact," but at that point you'd be an argument should just end - you can't debate over two opinions if one of them says that it's an opinion and thus can't be included.

Try and find implications, the point was that if you work hard enough and try to put yourself in a position that can create change, you can do it. You're a programmer, fine. PROGRAM SOMETHING. Be it a video, animation, virus, whatever. All you have to do is discover the best way to go about it and WORK AT IT.

If your goal is to become a programmer with no intention of envoking change, then stop complaining. You are further enforcing what I say to be an evdential truth: You want change, but don't want to work for it yourself. If you aren't willing to work for changes you complain and think should be made, stop complaining. It's the same as me whining and telling everyone I'm hungry. I could easily cook food, but I don't, yet I still continue to whine about being hungry. That's bullshit.

My intention is to become a programmer and improve the programming world *hopefully* (Chances of that are almost as low as my chances of making a difference in the government). Seperate from that, I'd like it if the world would change for the better, but I recognize that my ability to make that change is severely limited. The only way I can think of using programming to spread a message to others and try to make change is by making a videogame that provides a criticism of something, say, a game where you play a soldier who is persecuted for disobeying orders so he could save a child's life - that would probably alter a few opinions on the policies of the military, but programmers are 99.5% of the time never the one to initiate production of a videogame.

I can't believe I lost my Bible... I think my mom has it since she helped me clean my room a few days ago.

I forgot the exact verses, but I think it was Genisis, Chapter 4 and the Cain and Able story. After Cain killed Able, God gave him a mark of evil. I think Cain said he was afraid other men would kill him. The key is the other men. These could be (The retarded fish-monkeys a la South Park), or they could not.

There was also a verse where Cain went to the land of Nod and took a wife. This could be another daughter of Adam & Eve, or it could mean there were humans who had evolved onto that point.

I said that there was evidence, not "I'M RIGHT YOU'RE WRONG lol u r teh suxxors rotflol..." so it could be either way. It's what you believe.

mmm i know those verses and i understand your thinking but that is not good evidence. The bible never said that adam and eve were the only people God created (corect me if i am wrong). I have were discussed those verses before in school before. but it is not sufficiant evidance

It also doesn't say there weren't.

I'm almost agreeing with you, except I believe the two can go together.

I'm gonna stop talking about it.

Please rephrase that to make sense.

I wasn't arguing/debating over whether or not America is, in my opinion, the best country. I was debating over the REASON I think it is. Slight difference there.

Depends on how you define race. If you define race as ethnicity or religion, then yes, it is a race. But the general idea of race is all based on skin color. For example, African-American is more often considered a race then, say, German.

@MM: Razor said Jewish, didn't he?
