Kinda sorta.

The Kenshin is from Jump Superstars, as is the faceset. The Gohei is editeed form some big guy from Jump Superstars, and I've recolored them both to SNES quality, since I enjoy the nostalgia.

While working on my CBS, I made this concept screen. Nothing here is coded. Except for the battle animation, everything here is a charaset.

As for what kind of CBS it is, it's based off of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and Final Fantasy 12.

I just wanted to know if the interface looks good. I think I'm gonna stick with it. Comments?

Oh, and when you select an action, the name of it appears over your ATB bar. That's why they are down lower than the numbers.

Wouldn't fullscreen cut off the bottom and the sides? If so, you might want to move your hud up/over a few spaces.

It looks good though. I've never been a fan of such dark colors, but all your colors seem to work well together. Also, what about MP?

While we are on the subject of HUDs.....

Too bright. Add a bit of green and blue to that red. The green color is fine, though.

I see a weather and terrain system. I'm doing something like that too. I'm not a fan of the red. As you've noticed, I like dark colors.

About my HUD, what you mean cut off? It's a 320*240 picture. I admit, I'm using the "Set Event Place" command to squeeze 4 sets of numbers into 3 spaces though.

It looks good Aboutso, I like the menu system too. The colors give it an overall natural look, ya know? Not too cartoony or bright.

Meis: You make those screens? Very impressive, though that red is just blinding and bad.

Well, when I play my rpg maker 2003 in full screen, it cuts off 5 or 6 pixels from each side. I thought that's how everyone's was. :p

As to the red, I guess I should've pointed out that that's the tranparent color the picture uses, I just don't have a suitible background yet.

Awesome screens on this page!

@aboutsoandthis: Nothing really to critique, I like it.

@Meiscool: I like the borders, glad that the red isn't permanent. I personally think the sprites should stand out more, but I think you did say you were changing the background.

Something I'm working on while on Spring break: The purple hair girl is Vivian, the  brown hair girl is Sabrina. They're at the Volleyball area they and their friends set on the beach. The sprites are custom, everything else is Sword of Mana.

Thankye. Also, I'm glad you don't think the sprites stand out. Sorta unorthadox, but I like my colors to be the same for everything. Charasets, animations, chipsets, ect. Thus, the color I would use for grass, I would also use for a green shirt. Just a slightly different color in the event that the shirt is next to the grass. I guess I'm just writing this because you're the first one to comment on the sprites :P

I see. Personally, I like sprites to stand out so that you can easily see them, but I see what you mean by this.

Posted the other screen above.  :jest:
I just need to animate the side poses for those 2 characters and they're finished with their walking animations.

Ocean can I please have those trees? The trees from the Mana games are exactly what I'm looking for.

And I like your sprites.
